Q: Is this ELF mascara waterproof?

  • A: No, but as a head's up, waterproof mascara generally can't be a "tubing" mascara. Tubing formulas though are quite water resistant and can be "pulled" off w/ warm water in tubes instead of smudging.

    Great smudgeproof top coat!!

    I looove this mascara. Don’t get me wrong, I love designer mascaras as well. I use my designer mascaras as first coat, then top it off with this Elf mascara. For me, it builds the volume, adds a bit more length, and somehow prevents my lashes from smudging. It’s like it seals it into a smudgeproof mascara. When used alone it can be tricky at first, but once you get the technique it looks soo good. Mind you I have short, slightly sparse lashes. It is also comes off fairly easily with just water and my face wash. Try it!!

    Contact Lenses Very Safe

    Definitely 100% recommend if you wear contacts lenses and feel uncomfortable with regular mascaras that releases crumbs and dry particulate on your eyes, this one will prevent you from getting any discomfort in your eyes!

    Great mascara but wand gets stuck to cap

    I love this mascara, it comes off so easily and now I can’t even think about wearing non-tubing mascara. However, in the past few years 3 of these tubes have had the problem where the inner cylinder that the brush squeezes past gets stuck to the cap and the mascara becomes unusable. This has never happened to me with any other mascara product so I’m not sure if this has happened to anyone else!

    Clean up

    This is probably very niche but I have no one to complain about this to. I’ve tried a ton of different mascaras, and I do really like this one. The problem is when I wash my face in the shower at the end of the day, this mascara flakes everywhere and is incredibly hard to clean off the walls of my shower. I have shower inserts, not tile. I’m talking scrub with chemicals hard to get off!

    Disappointing Mascara!!

    I use lots of Elf products and really love them,but I bought the Incredi curl mascara today and what a disappointment!!! Its awful,thick in the tube and so clumpy on the brush and made such a clumpy mess of my eyelashes. Wasted my money!!!

    My fave mascara

    I have tried many mascaras, including numerous tubing mascaras, and this is by far my favorite! It is buildable. It lasts all day with out flaking (which I have had issues with, even with other "tubing" mascaras). It does not cause panda eye. I have horrible seasonal allergies that cause my eyes to water horribly. This mascara stays in place without running! I do enjoy Tarte's tubing mascara, however I prefer the ELF one and it is a fraction of the price.

    Breaks

    I like this mascara but they break! The top part of the tube gets stuck in the cap making it unusable. This has happened multiple times but usually I can pull it apart. This time I tried to pull it out but it was STUCK. Had to throw the whole tube away, will not buy again.
