taste is pretty awful. numbs everything in a bad way. I fell asleep with one in my mouth and it dissolved a bunch of skin off the inside of my cheek. I give it one star because it does help with the sore throat, but I would never choose them again.

Great Ricola alternative
Happy cold and flu season! I'm on a sugar-free journey due to a medical condition, so in the midst of my current cold (thanks, germ sharers!) I wanted something potent but sugar free. Normally I would buy Ricola but I am also on a budgeting journey at the moment, and found these store brand drops. They have been so helpful that I have purchased them for 2 households aready this week. If you're a Ricola die-hard but you need something sugar free and lower cost, grab a pack and feel better.

The package says sompare to Ricola. The Up & Up brand is smaller and doesn't taste nearly as good. Also doesn't provide the throat-coating action. With I hadn't tried these and had just gone ahead and paid for Ricola.

Move over, Lemon Pledge! HUGE no.
The bag days "compare to Ricola". I have been Ricola for years, but saw these and thought I would save some money. I bought 2 bags. Bad plan! I couldn't even finish it and had to spit it out. Its taste was exactly what Lemon Pledge furniture polish smells like. No joke. I tried again later thinking maybe it would taste better after eating something. Nope. The bag also says "Love it or your money back". We'll see if they're good on their word, but if not, these guys are going the trash! UGH!!
