The Best Brow Pencil
I absolutely love this product. I was very loyal for a long time to my elf brow pencil and my benefit brow pencil but this nyx one is my number one. I found my exact eyebrow shade with the nyx options. And now it is my go to brow pencil. Highly recommend.

Product fell out three different times for three seperate purchases.
After opening the package, the whole product fell out of the pencil, and there was no fixing it. I have purchased three of these and its happened everytime. This has to be sharpened. Comes with more product than the micro pencils. but its very expensive, chalky, doesnt blend well.

Quality as expected for the price point but will not repurchase. The pencil is is not too chalky or sharp, it does go on similarly to a powder (but not as smooth and blendable as powder). The brush on this thing is so cheap and bad, it doesnt seem practical at all and doesnt make the overall product better in my opinion. It is def necessary to blend the pencil in after applying if you want a natural look, so improvements to the brush are necessary. Not the product if you want tiny, hair-like strokes, this will fill in everything

Lovely color! Breaks off constantly, too soft now.
This is the only pencil with a color that most closely matches my natural brows (Taupe), and the old formula was amazing! I could actually sharpen it to a point. This new formula is awful and I go through a pencil SO FAST because it’s constantly breaking off. But my brows last a long time and is the right shade, so I’ve continued to buy it. Please bring back the old formula! The new one is not an improvement!

Not the same, such a shame!
Please bring back the old formula, NYX! This new version doesn’t compare at all. As other reviewers have said, it’s crumbly, doesn’t sharpen well, and keeps breaking. The pigment is also much harsher and nowhere near the gorgeous, soft taupe shade of the previous pencil. I had a feeling the old pencil would be discontinued at some point, but I’m so disappointed. I don’t like the other NYX brow pencils - they’re too small and colour pay off isn’t the same - I prefer a proper pencil for my eyebrows, not a micro one. I’ve managed to find a retailer still selling the old formula so I’ve stocked up, but once those run out I’ll need to find an alternative. I’m genuinely upset because I hate harsh-looking brows, and it’s so hard to find a pencil that gives a soft, natural look. The old NYX pencil was perfect. Please bring it back NYX! If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it! You have a lot of loyal customers for the old pencil who will now have to shop elsewhere!

Brow pencil that understands the assignment!
THANK YOU NYX! Been looking for a great powder brow pencil since MAC canceled theirs. Went from Lancome (discontinued), to Mac (discontinued), to searching for several years for the 'right' brow pencil. Most recently using a horrible gel-based one (literally like a crayon). So good to see L'Oreal reconstituting this Lancome product under the NYX brand. The main issue with the Lancome pencil was the wood around the 'powder' was too hard, causing the powder to break while sharpening. No issue with NYX.

Doesn’t last that long before fading. By the end of the day, I just have little yellow spots on my brow. The taupe is too orange… Love the idea of having these old school pencils but it’s not worth purchasing. Drug store pencils aren’t great as what they used to be. You might as well splurge on a good eyebrow pencil.

Deserves Zero stars
Extremely poor quality makeup pencil. EVERY time pencil is sharpened, it breaks. And I'm not sharpening to such a point as to try and write with it lol. I keep hoping "the next one" will be better, but sadly, they're not even close. Will be returning some as I purchased more than one.

It’s true – this new formula is not great :(
Just need to reinforce what everyone else has been commenting – the old brow pencil was great – I used taupe, which was a perfect color – I previously use the Anastasia brow, pencil, which I’ll have to go back to because just like everyone else is saying, it’s crumbly, breaks off, leaves bits, and you have to constantly sharpen it – blaze with the product really fast. I tried the other mechanical Plastic pencil version, and it’s also less product and more effort to apply – neither one is great. So sad and hopefully they’ll bring back the previous formula. Either eyebrow pencil you use is less product, for different reasons. But also not the same color or finish. Such a bummer.
