Got the exact wrong item twice even after ordering a replacement. Tried to work with customer service to help solve the issue and they were very unhelpful. We are expecting our second kid and this would have really helped with our stairs with banisters, but very disappointed with how Target handled the situation.

The gate we received is not the one we thought we were purchasing. Your description of the item is not what you deliver. Fix your description or send the correct item. People need baby gates for their children’s safety. And now we are delayed even more on achieving that.

Sent wrong gate, TWICE.
I bought this gate TWICE and both times I received the wrong gate. Completely different model of Summer gate than what is displayed in pictures. One was even damaged when we opened the box. No straps for banister either. We needed a gate for the top of our stairs that didn't require drilling into our banister, and this gate appeared to be exactly what we were looking for. Unfortunately, we'll never know because they continue to send the wrong version, and customer service will do nothing about the inconvenience or to assure that we receive the correct item. Extremely disappointed, would have loved to know if this gate works. I included a picture of the gate we received both times.

Save your money, buy something else.
Don't bother, find a better product, especially for the cost! I purchased mine a couple of months ago and it is flimsy, doesn't glide nicely at all. It is so difficult to open and close it that it has been ripped out of the wall already even with using plugs as you have to shake the gate a bit to have it glide back and forth. Very unimpressed and this certainly wouldn't be suitable on a set of stairs!

Do not trust!
The latch failed after less than 2 mths when my 12 mth old shook the gate. It opened completely with my son hanging over the stairwell. He could’ve fallen and probably wouldn’t have survived. When I called, “she will pass the info on to team”.

Terrible! Do not purchase!!
I purchased this gate to block my crawling baby from falling down the basement stairs. The bars came apart from the frame of the gate- offering zero safety from the stairs. We had it up for less than one week. Absolutely disgusting and disappointing to say the least.

Solid Gate Option Providing a Safe Home!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Received this gate in black. Came in consolidated packaging and included a concise instruction manual. The gate itself was very lightweight. Great option for putting in the doorway of a toddler's room to keep children safe and your pets from entering without you present. The instructions for installation could have been clearer but I am not typically known as a "handy" person when it comes to putting items together. The handle makes it fairly easy to latch / unlatch even when carrying a baby or other items.

Perfect for top of stairs
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We installed this gate at the top of our stairs. One side is the banister and the other side is the wall. I thought this might be tricky for installation but it was actually pretty easy. The included template is great! Our baseboards aren't very tall so we secured the latch right above. It opens easily with one hand which is helpful when I have my arms full. You can even buy an attachment for the banister if you don't want to drill into the wood. We didn't mind drilling but I'm sure many don't want to put holes in their wood. I would definitely recommend this gate. It's sturdy, looks nice and easy to open and close.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was sent this gate for review a few weeks ago. While the gate was well made and matched well with my home’s decor, installation was a tad difficult. Definitely not a one person job. We have three dogs and a daughter who is crawling. In the past we have had issues with gates not staying up or causing damage to our walls. So far this gate has held up very well and no damage even after accidental bumps and movement from one doorway to another. We love the walkthrough. Also another feature that is much appreciated is the latching system. Much easier to use than previous ones we have purchased. We as a family would definitely recommend this gate, just make sure you have an installation partner.

Sleek design.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This baby gate has a very sleek look to it being black instead of the normal plastic . It was very easy to put up and seems to be holding up well. The lock does stick a little and I had to show my older kiddos a few times how to use it but it’s defiantly keeping our youngest and our puppy down stairs ! Highly recommend.

Nice looking gate!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a really nice looking gate that matches the aesthetic of our house. It was important to us that we didn't have a gate that stuck out like a sore thumb and this one was able to do just that for us. We had a little bit of difficulty installing since we had baseboard on both sides and it seemed to only have an extender for one side, but we made it work. It is very easy to use with one hand for when you're carrying your little one. Overall, I would buy this gate again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is something I was looking for my baby to prevent accidents. I am glad I received this product. I received product in great packaging and in good condition. I think the manual instructions which came with it were not very clear. I had to refer online video to fix the gate. Also the gate is not adaptable to the baseboard from the latch side. I had to cut wood pieces and use them as a support in order to fix it. Overall I like the product as it serves the purpose of protecting baby from any staircase accidents. I like the look and color of the gate its really classy. Also I like the fact that its made of wood and not plastic.
