Neutrogena Ultra Gentle Daily Face Moisturizer - SPF 30 - 3.4fl oz: Hypoallergenic, Oil-Free, Dye-Free, For Normal & Sensitive Skin

I bought this product because ultra gentle daily facial moisturizer was discontiued. this product is horrible. it is simply a sunscreen that leaves a white residue and acutally dries my skin. how this can be called a moisturizer is a mystery to me.

Okay as a sunscreen, but it doesn't really moisturize. It made my face feel sort of weirdly tough and dry. It takes a while to rub in, but at least it isn't greasy. Burns slightly when rubbing in but it doesn't last too long. Wouldn't recommend for people with dry or super sensitive skin. Maybe you could use this under a better moisturizer.

the Ultra Gentle Daily Facial Moisturizer with SPF 30 was a good fit for me at first. i have oily, acne-prone/sensitive skin. my skin tone is about type iii and i started using this during winter. the sunscreen sets almost powdery which was wonderFUL for my oily skin. i had no sensitive reactions, and no eye sting even when i applied it closer to my eyes. however, i have facial hair which made the slight whitecast too noticeable. at first i let it slide, but eventually i realized it's not gonna work. so, i only see this sunscreen being ideal for more fair skinned people with no facial hair. disappointing because it's usually mineral sunscreens that leave a white cast, not chemical sunscreens like this one. i will try to use up the rest not on my face but will not repurchase, and will look for another sunscreen/moisturizer combo, maybe cerave.

I tried this out thinking it would work as my face this morning was on fire, I have rosacea. I was in serious need of moisturizing. I looked up what would help and this came up as a #1 solution, even doctor recommended it. The facial cleanser, alright/fine. The lotion though, I saw stars. It burned so badly that I couldn’t hold it in. My skin flared up more than it was this morning after using these two. I used it by the instructions and everything. I’m likely to return this product because this isn’t for rosacea girlies as many ratings and doctors said. STAY AWAY from this product If you have INTENSE dry skin or Rosacea.

Light and smooth moisturizer and SPF. Will buy again!

This broke me out really bad. Like, horrible cystic acne bad

Absorbs into my skin nicely and isn’t greasy! It does sting my eyes slightly though. I’m very pale, so I couldn’t tell you if it gives a white cast.

smells bad when I try to rub in my skin it sticks and looks pasty. I was hoping it was like the original one slips on my skin with ease gliding and penetrating skin.

Not a fan of this product. It smells like tires. Would not recommend for daily use. It feels like cakey sunscreen

This product was so bad that I probably won't ever buy from this brand again. Not only did it dry up and crumble on my face, it also caused my eyes to sting and become inflamed. Terrible product.

Holy grail moisturizer/spf for oily and acne prone skin! It has a slight skin blurring effect when it dries down - almost a powdery natural finish due to the silica. I'm surprised to see some of the negative reviews. If you don't have oily/combo skin type, then yes, you will need to pair it with a hydrating serum/toner/essence underneath, or go for a more emollient moisturizer (which is the opposite of what I look for in an spf product to be fair). Only wish it came in 50 spf.

Absolute garbage. Not a moisturizer. Smells terrible and does not apply like a moisturizer with SPF would.

This burned my skin really bad, and it doesn’t moisturize at all. It caused my skin to flake and feel very dry.

The product is more like sunblock with lotion vs a lotion with sunblock. It applies thick and white and takes a minute to blend into my skin, but then it lacks good, deep moisturizing. I understand it's ultra gentle, but it's too gentle. I liked Neutrogena's old face lotion products better.

I like the purposes printed on the package: sensitive skin facial lotion and sunscreen. However, I don’t like the burning sensation when I use it. I have also noticed my skin flaking, but it could be the other products I am trying too. I would just hope this would moisturize my face enough that my skin wouldn’t flake while using other skincare products.

Smells awful, like gasoline or asphalt

I was hoping this would be a replacement for the discontinued oil-free moisturize line, but sadly it is not. my skin is so flaky and dry since I started using it. please please please bring back a good daily moisturizer.

It legitimately smells like gasoline and dries out my skin horribly. I’ve been trying to find a replacement for the Neutrogena oil free moisturizer with SPF that they don’t make anymore and this is definitely NOT IT.
