Sharper Image Wild Beast 4x4 Remote Control Off-Road Truck

I never write reviews. However, we just bought this and within 24 hours it already stopped working. I saw a few other reviews saying the same thing but hoped it was wrong… DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. $60 down the drain and a devastated toddler.

Junk. Don’t buy just returned. Smoke stopped after 24 hours. Lasts minutes after a charge

My son bought one of these with his Christmas money. He was SO excited to play with it. It kept losing a charge within seconds even after charging for several hours. After trouble shooting we determined that it was probably just a defective toy. No big deal, we exchanged it for a new one. The second one is having the exact same issue. He so bummed that the toy that he chose doesn’t work. We will be returning it and finding something that does work.

My mom purchased 2, one for my son and one for my nephew for Christmas and both stopped working in less than 24 hours.

Under powered, could not make it up a small hill on the grass. Oversized wheels look cool but had a hard time turning. Hoping for more based on the price.

This item doesn’t even function and Target will not allow return. DO NOT PURCHASE!!!

My son loves this truck! The smoke is awesome! However, he’s had it less than a month and one of the wheels has broken off. For the price, it should last longer than this. Got a sad little boy!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy setup! Super neat smoke and lights effect. One of the standout features is the water vapor “smoke” effect. It gives the Wild Beast a really dramatic, almost movie-like exhaust cloud when it runs. Uses a 2.4 GHz remote, which means good control and less interference. The range is solid — up to ~100 feet, so you can run this around big outdoor spaces. You get a good 20 minutes of play time before having to recharge. Great on rocks, gravel and dirt!

The big tires makes it easy to drive over any terrain but it could go just a little bit faster. The smoke feature is really neat and the battery last longer than other rcs I've had.

It was great at first, my son absolutely loved it. But it stopped charging after the 3rd charge. We can’t take it back because we threw the box away.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This thing has real monster truck energy. It has big, chunky tires built for conquering rough terrain. My kids love the smoke effect that comes from the rear exhaust, it also has a LED light that adds some flair and makes it especially fun when driving in dim light. The remote has a decent range of about 100 feet, which is generous enough for the backyard or for taking to the park. It also includes a USB-C cord for charging. It tends to runs for about 20 mins before needing to recharge. It handles dirt, grass, gravel reasonably well. It’s not going to climb rock faces or anything like that, but for whatever yard, driveway, or park paths I put it through, it did pretty well. It does struggle a bit on super soft surfaces like sand, very loose dirt, and very muddy terrain. If you live somewhere with very rugged landscapes, you’ll occasionally find it has its limits. If you want a fun RC truck with cool visual effects, good off road capability, and reasonable durability without spending an insane amount then I would recommend this one. If you’re looking for serious speed, long range, or professional level performance, then you’d want to look into more specialized RC options. But for what it is, the Wild Beast delivers lots of fun!

Just pick it up and go do whatever you are wanting to do. Battery life seems pretty good, and performance are as expected with a remote control toy. You want your kids to enjoy their time, and my grandson definitely enjoyed playing with this toy! And as most boys are, they put their toys through everything, and this truck held up!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Holy cow! I can’t believe how huge this Toy RC Wild Beast is!! My 10 year old was so excited when he saw how big the box is. He added water to the top right away to add to the mister that comes out the back. See attached picture. It’s so cool!It has a cord to charge it which is awesome that it doesn’t take batteries.
