I’ve been looking forward to the opening of the NYX gondola in our Pharmacies, and this balm was the first thing I wanted to try!! And I’m so pleased with my purchase! I bought the Sugar Smush one, and I like everything about it — the texture, the finish and the flavour! A pleasant flavour/aroma is a must in lip products for me, and NYX nailed it for sure! Even my husband likes it, because you can’t see it on the lips + there isn’t any stickiness that a glossy balm would have, so he can use it well! Now I’m looking forward to trying more products from NYX!

Hated the lip tint balm, only tried it once. It didn’t spread well and it didn’t look like a balm it looked like chocolate I smudge some chocolate on my lips.

Great for valentine’s day!

The blurring matte to end all other matte finishes
I cannot say enough wonderful things about the Smushy Lip Balm Collection! I have every single gorgeous color except the lighter pinks which don’t work with my skin tone or look. They are all FLAWLESS. They leave the most beautifully soft and pillowy texture on your lips, making them feel lush and hydrated, but not gloppy, slick, or oily. The colors create a perfect high pigmented stain that lasts for hours. Then the clear is a whole other level of perfection. It will blur-out any lipstick you already own. I am a huge fan of a soft natural matte look instead of glossy, or even how some lipsticks that leave an almost greasy shine. A few dabs of the clear completely transforms all other lipsticks, stains, and tints! It’s like magic! No excessive blotting on tissues needed after either when using both the clear and colors (which all have their delicious own scents as well). NYX really knocked it out of the park with this line. Total game changer and unlike anything else I’ve ever used!

Solid Matte Lip Balm

The matte effect is super strong if that is what you like, but I do feel that it dried my lips out too much while wearing it throughout the day. This is a solid and affordable choice for a matte lip balm that stays on consistently throughout the day.

It’s not a hydrating balm and when you apply too much, the product begins to flake. And when you apply products over it, there’s more flaking and it dull the other product and it makes it matte as well … even when a high shine lipgloss is applied on top of it. Pass.

It is disappointing to hear that the Smushy Soft Matte Tinted Lip Balm did not provide the hydrating experience you were looking for and that you encountered issues with flaking and layering. This formula is unique because it is designed to deliver a blurred, soft-matte finish with a weightless feel, which differs significantly from the heavy moisture of a traditional glossy balm. To prevent flaking and ensure a smooth application, we recommend applying the product to completely dry lips that have been gently exfoliated. Because this formula is highly pigmented and designed to set to a matte finish, applying it in very thin layers—blending with a fingertip—will help it bond to the skin without building up too much texture. If you wish to add shine, we suggest allowing the balm to dry completely for a minute before tapping a gloss over the top, rather than rubbing it in, to maintain the integrity of both formulas. We appreciate this feedback as it helps us better understand how our community interacts with our more specialized textures.

Shade 01 is a really pretty everyday color that works with a full face or no makeup at all. I love that it feels like a balm but still gives you that matte look. Amazing product, horrible smell.
Love the way it applies, feels, and looks! The smell is downright offensive, though. If you've ever wanted to eat a food scented candle, then this would be a 5/5 for you. If the product were any less amazing, I wouldn't be able to get past the smell. It truly is a testament to the fantastic texture.
