Keystone 12000 BTU Heat and Cool Window Air Conditioner

I didn't notice how hard it would be getting this window off to put it on and I need help and so I'm trying to get someone over to help but haven't been able to yet. I know these work well because I had one similar to this back years ago.

It is still cold here in NY so we haven’t used it yet but we did plug it in briefly to try it. It has wonderful controls and it is easy to adjust the temperature. What surprised me most was how quiet it was! This will really come in handy for those hot summer months.

It was easy to install and is perfect for these cold spring mornings for heat then later when it’s hot just switch over to air conditioning. It wasn’t too heavy but did have to have a helper to lift it . It has a remote control which comes in handy. It has 4 way air direction a energy saver feature an auto timer start stop feature it has dry mode to help dehumidify it has fan only setting it is just loaded with options it keeps my house crisp and cool I absolutely love it!!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First and foremost installation is simple, it will pop in your window like any other window unit, I would absolutely recommend using brackets to stabilize it and will add those at a later time. The unit is very heavy but surprisingly not as large as I had anticipated so two people might need to be involved with the installation. For reference, the unit is approximately 19 inches wide and 14 high so it is great for smaller windows. The cooling capabilities are great, we decided this would be the perfect addition to my husbands garage where he spends many hours doing his woodworking. So far this spring we have had 80 degree days and he was nice and cool without having to run this at full capacity. We have also had days in the 50’s and that extra bit of heat allowed him to work comfortably. The heat is only supplementary and will not work if the outside temperature is below 23, but during these spring days where we get temperature swings it is perfect for keeping comfortable. The noise levels are not too high for a window unit. The programmable feature of the the remote is nice in that you can set it before leaving to ensure you have a warm/cool space when you get home. I would say that the one downside is this is not WiFi compatible which would have been nice, it’s not a dealbreaker but something that I have become accustomed to.

It's specifically made for rooms 3505 SQ ft with a window with a Ht 16.5 in & a W 26.8 inches . The adjustable , pleated window mounting kit is included making installation a breeze. It's a very quiet unit with 3 cooling speeds, 3 fan speeds & 1 heat speed. An adjustable 4 way air-flow direction allows you to control the direction of the cool air with 4 way louvers. Electronic controls with LED display allows you to easily select options with the touch of a button. A temp sensing remote allows you to control temp from across the room . A programable 24 hr on/off timer cools on your schedule. In the event of a power outage an auto-restart feature saves your settings for when the power is restored. There is even an easy clean , tilt-out mesh filter with a check filter alert on the unit for easy maintenance . The 7 ft power cord uses the standard 115V electrical outlet. The installation of the unit is easy & took no time at all. The unit produces a great amount of cooling but is not meant to be used as a primary heat source. I was provided the opportunity by Influenster to install & use this air conditioner for free in exchange for an honest review. I can honestly say this Keystone AC unit is a fantastic little unit that provides a tremendous amount of cooling for such a small unit & it is also very quiet . Great AC & a great buy!!

Works perfect for us when we use our garage as an added living space though. The major downside is that it requires a specialized outlet which is not easily accessible in most homes.

The unit is very heavy for me so I had to have my husband install it but he said it was fairly easy. The size is perfect for our large windows too!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love how this unit doesn't just cool our house, but it can warm it up too! I frankly never heard of an air conditioner doing that before. It's very nice looking and has every option I can imagine needing on it, including heat and a remote! This is a bit heavy for 1 person to lift by themselves, but not impossible. Attaching the louvers was super easy. Then, we just putting it into our window, closed the sash down and opening the louvers the width of the window. This comes with a manual for installation, use and troubleshooting. The manual appears to cover every necessary subject you can imagine encountering. The front panel opens easily so you can remove the filter for cleaning. The led control panel makes it easy to see what the settings are from a distance as well as in the dark. You can really tell the thermostat on this is very precise when you hear the motor kick up or down a notch, as well as the fan along with it. The remote control makes it easy to operate from a distance. We love the heat option on this right now as it's a bit chilly in the morning. It quickly gives us a little added warmth without turning on the house furnace. We are very pleased this is able cover a good portion of our house. The unit is relatively quiet too, so it won't disturb anyone while they're sleeping either. We are extremely happy with how easy this is to use and all the options it has on it. This has made our home more comfortable no matter what the temperature is outside.

It cools the room relatively fast and keeps it comfortable. The supplemental heat feature is a huge bonus too, it’s perfect for those chilly mornings or evenings so you don’t have to turn on the main heat. Installing it was pretty straight forward and easy. It also comes with a handy remote control, which makes adjusting the settings and temperature super convenient from across the room. It seems to be reliable, efficient, and does what it’s supposed it!
