God-awful!!!
I purchased it and thought it was giving me a pretty close shave. But then, after about a week, it conked out altogether!!! I thought it just needed recharged, but now it still doesn't work at all!!!!! TERRIBLE PRODUCT!!!

Fantastic

very poor
I have been using the razor for 2-3 months. I try it dry, wet, with gel, with shaving cream, but nothing works. It will not pick up the hairs on my neck and does a poor job on my cheeks. I chose this one after reading all the great reviews. I have previously used Norelco and Remington. This is by far the worst razor I have ever used. I am greatly disappointed.

Best lectric dry shaver I ever had
Bought the 3040s a year ago. Best smooth and fast shave I ever had. I can't say this about a replacement head 32S, which I had to return. The shave with this new part was rough, almost painful. Expect from Braun recommendation for another head and where to buy.

Doesnt work with Cleaner
This is my 3rd Bruan shaver and its taken me a while to write this review, it shaves well and does what it says it will do, however my issue is it doesnt work with the cleaner and conditioner tool. It only charges in the holder. I tried assorted cables as i have read on a couple of reviews but no luck. Now I have a newish cleaner, box of cleaner fluid and no way to use it. They should make this clear on the products (unless of course one of them is faulty)

We're sorry for the confusion! Our Series 3 3040s is not compatible with a clean and charge station, which is why it's not cleaning. The s at the end of 3040 stands for solo model, and it doesn't come with a clean and charge station. The ones that are compatible with a clean and charge station will have a cc at the end of it. horrible quality
I picked the razor because of the features, mostly. Then, I liked the performance of the cut, except it was kind slow. I thought about checking to see about replacements before the foils went bad, as I should have, now they have none in stock at ALL in any of the razors. Even if I purchased another razor, I would not be able to get a replacement,

Wow. Wife gave this to me for Christmas. Last time I used an electric razor was 52 years ago. My mom and dad gave me for graduation from high school, I was headed off to college at that time. All that razor did was burn my face. Didn't ever use it again, use a regular razor for the last 52 years.. This Braun is light years ahead of that. Told my wife, if mom and dad had given me one of these, I probably would have never use a regular razor. Thanks Braun for a great razor.

Works well on two day old beards
I switched from Norelco to Braun and sofar have been happy. The shaver itself seems better made and sofar its giving me a better shave then my old rotary shaver did. It's not an huge improvement but it's a faster shave and it works a little better on my chin and neck. The battery life is also about the same to which is good. I've also noticed that like my old Norelco this Braun works a little better with applying a hot towel on my face and then following up with Shaving cream.

Worst shaver I’ve ever used!
I used this shaver for the first time on a dry face this week and it missed so much facial hair! I had to go over the same spots on my neck and face three times before finishing. I then tried using it in the shower but it still did a terrible job! I called Braun to try to get my money back but because I waited to use it outside of the 60 purchase window they said there was nothing they could do. Sixty-four dollars down the drain. I’m giving this one away and will end up going back to my Norelco.

Nice but apparent design flaw
Like a previous review stated, mint too has an issue with the head popping off far too easily.I clean mine regularly & when I want to remove the head it sometimes pops off like it's been jettisoned! And not just popping off but virtually exploding when it does because of the 3 pieces that make up the head system can separate. Well, mine has separated & I'm not able to re-assemble it properly. It's not a year old & this is very disappointing. I have an electric shaver I can't shave with. I can still use the attachment trimmer, not the shaver. I'm not feeling warm & fuzzy about purchasing a replacement foil knowing that I could just as easily, quite *unintentionally*, do it again. Looking at other shavers.....

Nice...But Has Some Big Issues
You get a good shave. But the shave head pops off the razor unit several times a month, you have to catch it quick or it hits the floor ending up with damage to the blade area. Having had 5+ Braun shavers over the years, this one has some issues and a major battery flaw. The biggest issue is why would Braun develop a product that cannot be used with the cord. You cannot use this razor if it's plug in, so if it runs out of charge while shaving, you have to wait until it's charged to finish shaving....very poor design and big time customer aggravation. This will keep me from buy another Braun shaver.

The reason this shaver doesn't work while plugged in is because your model is designed as a wet/dry shaver. Having a cord attached even if you aren't showering with it would be unsafe, so we hope you understand. Our Series 3 Shavers that are compatible with corded and cordless shaving include our 3000BT, 300S, 3000S, 3020S, 3030S, 3050CC, 3060S, 3070CC, and 3090CC. All of these models can be used with dry shaving only. So we can gather a few more details about your shave, as your shaver head shouldn't be popping off, could you please give us a call at (800) 272-8611?

Great shaver
I've had this for years - like 3+ years - and it still works like new and holds a very long charge. Would definitely buy again but don't think I'll need to anytime soon. Very well made product.

I have an old 7505, I thought to replace it with this Series 3, and it won't work unless charged & disconnected from the charge cable. Deal breaker!!! Returning it tomorrow!!!

Great value for money
I've never used a classic razor blade, but always eletric razors, and exclusivley Braun. My previous shaver was an 8000 series with a clean & charge station. I'm positivley surprised by my new 3040. Despite being "simpler" than my previous one, it feels great in my hand and has a nice sense of quality to it. The trimmer is good for sideburns and for trimming down to a one day beard. I haven't tested wet shaving, but the waterproof design also comes in handy for cleaning: rinse under water, leave to dry, done!
