COULDNT PUT IT DOWN
I’m not sure how anyone could not like this book or say it was boring. It was so difficult to put down, it was well written and it was so easy to insert myself in the story

Calling this a psychological thriller is laughable. I wanted to give up 3 chapters in but didn’t only because I bought the book

Really good
Was slightly slow at first but then I couldn’t put it down! Read in four days and it usually takes me forever to finish a book. So many twists and turns, my jaw was on the floor. It reminded me why I love Colleen Hoover so much!

I typically am a huge fan of Colleen Hoover books, this one however was painful to read and finish. Story is boring, drawn out and not enjoyable to read. Very disappointed and will think twice about reading any further books she releases

Review!
Before I get into the review, I first want to say that I enjoy most of CoHo books. The majority I have read have been well written and she does an amazing job tackling hard issues. I personally do not hold the opinion that she is for people going through all the trauma she writes about. When looking at the storyline in ‘Woman Down’ and all the controversy around her, Hollywood, and her fan base, I can see how this novel could have been a writing outlet. So, I’m happy that I finished the book, and happy that I can personally give this review. ‘Woman Down’ needs to be labeled a ‘Romantic Suspense’. I have seen many different genres thrown out there and I would not consider this a thriller, dark romance, or contemporary romance. An author, Petra, gets roasted by her fan based for her book turned movie adaptation that failed, hardcore. (Sound familiar?) Now needing motivation and inspiration for her novel, rents a boujie cabin in the woods. Where a “police officer” shows up at her doorstep and is now her new muse. Come to found out everyone is lying, except for the faithful husband. This was slow to get into. The real suspense didn’t start until you are about 75% of the way in. The storyline was compelling enough to keep reading but I struggled staying engaged. I am not one who enjoys reading about unfaithful relationships, so that didn’t help my engagement either. I did find one contradiction in the book. Not big and some way not even see it. The towel and robe mix up. That bothered me. I give this 2.5 stars ⭐️
