A: Hi Wire question, thanks for reaching out about Logitech G305 Lightspeed Wireless Optical Gaming Mouse. To use the Logitech G305 wirelessly, you need to: Install a AA battery in the mouse. Plug the small USB receiver into a USB port on your computer. (You can use the optional extension cable to position the receiver optimally). Turn on the mouse using the power switch usually located on the bottom. You do not plug the mouse directly into the computer with a wire for regular wireless operation.
