The mouse is a great device and Logitech is wonderful. However, Target sold this to me as a NEW item and it is a USED item. The seller tried to pass it off as a new item, but it is obvious. When I open the mouse battery compartment, there is no battery, but the insulator tab fell out. The rubber bumpers on the bottom of the mouse are dirty. And when I pull out the mouseball, the roller-contacts are dirtied with skin cells and other debris. While the blame for that lies mostly with the third-party seller, Target needs to do more to vet their marketplace and prevent this type of FRAUD from happening on their website.

Used/Returned Product
This has been my favorite mouse for many many years. That being said, I received a returned or used product from the vendor and am returning it to Target

This is an upgraded trackball to all the latest standards
This was just what I was looking for. I needed a Logitech trackball that used a unified receiver, so I could use this and a wireless keyboard on a computer without using more than one USB port. Logitech is pushing their "Logi Bolt" product line, which isn't compatible with their mainstream products. Ask me how I know... So this is an upgraded trackball to all the latest standards but uses the more common unified receiver. This works extremely well, no noise, doesn't lag or drag and feels solid in the hand... Oh, and it cost less at Target than anywhere else!!!
