Intense Laxative Effect
Silly me, thinking I was purchasing JUST l-theanine. This contains a large amount of magnesium stearate, which gave me diarrhea for over a week- with sodium lauryl sulfate as well? I've never seen that in a supplement and cannot fathom what internal purpose it's supposed to serve. I am appalled by everything about this. False advertising and a terrible product overall.

Helps keep you focused and quiets your mind
I’ve never taken L-Theanine before, but it seems to help me stay focused on tasks at hand. I do wish the capsules were less than 100mg. Such a large dosage upsets my stomach. I have opened the capsules and taken 50-75mg of the powder and put it in a beverage. It would be convenient if they were 25 mg pills. I have also given some to my teenage son to help him wind down at the end of the day. It does seem to help quiet his mind before bed, but it does not get him tired. I’d say it’s definitely beneficial if you have way too many tasks at hand and need something to keep your mind focused.

Worth trying
I have been taking these capsules one time a day since receiving them. I do notice a slight change in the clarity of my thinking. I am going to try taking two the day next and see what results I get from that change in dosage. It is very easy to swallow capsule, with no taste. Give them a try.

This is one of the brain health supplements my doctor recommended I take. I take 2 of them daily for a 200 mg dose. They’re small and don’t have an aftertaste. My mental health is as good as it’s been in years and I’m sure this is a contributing factor (though I’m also taking meds as well, so it’s definitely not working all on its own)
