[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was a replacement for a Burr Grind and Brew that I purchased six years ago. I like how this model has less parts to clean and the simplified, user-friendly controls. The digital readout could be brighter.
Fresh homemade coffee, right at home.

The DGB-800 is working perfectly, I set the grind to the #6 setting and the coffee is perfect ! Very easy to operate and clean up. Everyone likes our coffee, so we tell the about the coffee maker and the coffee we get online. we get coffee online at a very good savings' we buy 10lb each time we order coffee . I gets here in about 3-4 days.

This is the 4th Cuisinart Burr Grind & Brew that we have purchased. The first one, almost 20 years ago, was Excellent, so about 5 years later we replace it with a new one. I was better than the first! The third one was better than the second! And this one is way better than the third! I do not see how they could make this any better, but my guess is that in 5 years it will be and we will buy another one!

Very good product. Great tasting coffee. Easy to use; except one finicky behavior. If you grind the coffee the night before (which I do so the loud grinding won’t wake the wife up in the morning) then start the coffee in the morning with no grind, it typically won’t start. Simple fix is to hit the button on the side to open the filter holder, then close it, it will then start.
Good coffee maker with lid issues

Purchased as a replacement for similar Cuisinart coffee maker with stainless carafe. Replaced due to a problem with the lid/pour spout. Leaked badly and got tired of fooling with it. This coffee maker is identical except for this one has the glass carafe and is 12 cups rather than 10. The good is it grinds and brews nicely. The bad is this lid will not snap in place, thus you have to hold it with your thumb so it does not fall off while pouring. Unlikely to purchase another Cuisinart. Quality Control is not to acceptable standards and I do not want to go through more aggravation like I did with the last problem. Have not had long enough to attest to longevity.
Better basket design, not the best brew

This was a warranty replacement for the previous generation model, the DGB-1400BCPC, that was defective. This model has design improvements with the way the ground coffee is delivered from the grinder to the basket that is much better than the DGB-1400BCPC design. The downside is that the maximum number of cups of you can choose to grind is 12, which is the size of the pot. This does not give you enough flexibility if you're trying to make 12 cups of coffee stronger than the grind control allows. Selecting the strongest grind does not brew our coffee as strong as the previous model, so we have to choose to grind 12 cups of coffee at the strongest grind selection, but only brew about 10 1/4 cups. Still, at this combination of choices, the coffee isn't as good as the DGB-1400BCPC. We have tried other combinations of choices and amount of cups to brew, but this is the closest.
Great coffee, just a little messy

This coffee maker makes the best coffee. The burr grinder is superior to the blade style grinders. This is my second time ordering this model. The first has been working for about 5 years and still does, I just needed a new coffee maker for my second home. There are a couple of flaws with the product. If you forget a filter or try to use a paper and the wire filter, the grounds will get into the pour stop valve and make the coffee overflow and make a mess. There is also rarely a time when the maker doesn’t make a little bit of a mess with grounds getting out. Also, after a while (every year or so), you may notice fewer grounds and weaker coffee. The grinder tends to deposit some grounds into the bean feeder area above the grinder that slows the flow of the beans. There is a guard above this that makes it difficult to access. You can, however, reach the blockage with a skewer with a kink in it. You can also see the area using your phone camera once you find just the right position. Regardless of these issues, I would order one of these again. Based on messiness, I would deduct a star or two, however, the flavor is just so good, that it deserves the full five stars.

I received this as a (requested) gift. It's been about 3 weeks now and I'm very happy with it. Simple to use and the resulting coffee is great! Cleanup is easy, pretty much as any other coffee maker is. I do use the supplied gold filter to gain as much flavor as possible. For folks that use paper filters, try the gold mesh filter and you'll be surprised how much flavor the paper filters remove. Point is, paper is easier cleanup but the gold filter is worth the extra cleaning effort. Bean grinding sound is like any other bean grinder, fairly noisy. It functions well, grinding exactly what's needed for the specified number of cups. I experimented with the strength setting, just for comparison purposes and there is a noticeable difference between settings. While I can't predict the service life of this coffee maker, it appears to be well made and I expect it to last for a long time.
Easy to program. Easy to clean

This coffee maker is easy to program and easy to clean. I love the ability to fill coffee bean reservoir about once a week rather than adding coffee beans daily as with some of the cheaper grind and brew coffee makers. A larger coffee bean reservoir would be nice. A reheat button which would allow one to just turn on the heating plate without brewing a new pot of coffee would be a great plus. Even better would be the ability to program the number of cups of coffee one wants and it would only pull that much water from the water reservoir. But that would require reengineering the way the hot plate and the water reservoir are connected internally. Overall it is a good coffee maker for the price. My last grind and brew coffee maker (different brand) lasted a month beyond the factory warranty. I'm hopeful that this one will do better.

I bought this Cuisinart on March 14, 2025 just 2 weeks ago to replace my other Cuisinart that had an electrical malfunction. I can't say that I'm happy with it..no matter what I do the coffee is weak. I prefer my older model that I could control the amount of beans and grind.

I replaced a different brand and went with a more economical option … mistake. The brewing basket has a tendency to overfill and then overflow, creating a mess. Even though the carafe is big enough for twelve cups you can really only brew six cups at a time. A mistake that I am stuck with.

After using for about 5 days starting making weak coffee. The strength setting was the same, same beans , same amount of water. Now just making 10 cups of water with 12 cups setting on machine. We had the discontinued dgb900 with insulated carafe for years that made perfect coffee. Hate they changed it …

I have tried multiple times now to brew a pot of coffee without spilling water outside the reservoir, but this design is terrible. The water is poured into the back, so the entire machine has to be pulled towards the edge of the counter to reach it. The reservoir is shaped like an afterthought wrapped around the back of the machine, with its widest point being no more than an inch wide at the corners. There is no way to pour a pot of water into that small opening without it running down the side or missing it all together. The Coffee bean hopper cannot be cleaned out, and barely holds more than enough for 12 cups. The lid to the pot itself is too wide of a spout or isn't snapping shut properly, so it either pours too much or too little. Terrible design.

I got mine about a year ago and ran into trouble with it but thanks to the warranty it was replaced by cuisinart. I must say the new model is much improved and still makes a great cup of coffee. Going back to an old drip non bur coffee maker made us realize how much we love this one! Great value, price and warranty you can't go wrong.
