A: Hello! There are different versions of the Dash Multimaker Treat Maker System.
This is one of our ceramic units which have a lighter color to the coating and do not contain any Perfluorooctanoic acid. This kind of coating is free of PFA, PFOA, and PTFE because these chemicals are not used to manufacture of this coating.
There is an older version that has a darker PTFE nonstick coating called TruGlide®, which may have caused some confusion.

Don't buy for these mini waffles
Waffles are awful. No matter what I do, they are hard throughout and inedible. The dogs did like them.

So far so happy with my Treat Maker. I have only used the mini cupcake plate and it's great. It has a great non stick coating and if that stays that way this will be the best purchase I've made this year. It heats up quick and the treats are done within 5 mins.

Dollhouse Size...
I had big plans for these mini options. Rushed out to pick them up, got home opened everything and to my surprise the mini is actually micro mini. I tried out a simple thing first but it's a mess because the plates for the items are not deep enough to hold the mixed ingredients. i couldn't get the top plate back in and it's going back. I'm sad.

Easy to clean with removable plates and many different use
Love that I can take plates off to clean and just spray with grease remover and it comes right off with rinse and makes mini waffles and pancakes and muffin and donuts!

Misleading product description
The item description clearly states ceramic plates, but what arrived were standard nonstick plates with no ceramic coating whatsoever. If ceramic cookware is what you’re looking for, look elsewhere. Returning immediately. Target should update the listing to reflect what’s actually in the box.
