A: Our easy to clean, nonstick cooking surface is made up of a die cast aluminum plate with a PFOA-free, PTFE nonstick coating. While PFOA is a harmful chemical, PTFE is an acronym for a type of cook-safe nonstick found in many types of kitchenware, so you can feel confident using this kind of nonstick. I hope this helps!

Love the Multimaker. Easy time with the waffle plate, nice one bite sized waffles. Just used the mini muffin plates & made Banana Nut Muffins swapping out the blueberries for one mashed ripe banana and 1/4 c. pecan pieces. I did work out that the batter amount is too much, listed as 1 tablespoon, the muffins spread all over the plate. I had better results just using 1/2 teaspoon.

I've bought and returned two of these. The first one came to me broken, like, big chunks of plastic fell out of the box when I opened it. So I returned it and ordered a new one. Then the second one, I plugged it in, super excited to try it out, and it started smoking! Like, full on, black smoke. So I unplugged it immediately, set it outside to cool down, and returned that one as well. So disappointing because I was so excited about have a maker with removable plates.
