Hate the smell won’t buy anymore
What is that putrid smell?! I went through my whole kitchen thinking it was something I kept missing when I was cleaning—no, the smell is coming from this soap. I’ve used this brand and only this brand for decades and now I’m forced to find a new one because I absolutely cannot handle the gross smell. Smells of spoilage (bad meat) and chemicals mixed.

No longer original scent! Overpowering new scent
Dawn was the best cleaning product on the market. Then they decided to change the original scent and keep it labeled original scent. I have stopped using it however, my mother out of habit keeps buying it. I get a headache, just walking into the kitchen. This is the right product for you if you like overpowering sickening sense when you’re washing dishes as for me, I now need to find something that cleans as well as Dawn original.

The scent lingers on cookware and destroys my food
I've always relied on Dawn to do the job of cleaning my dishes and cookware but this new scent is clinging to everything! It gets into the food I cook! I have to find an alternative.

To remove the scent from your dishes, soak the items in hot water with some distilled white vinegar added to it, or if they're dishwasher safe, pour some vinegar into the bottom of the dishwasher and directly into the dispenser, then run them through the machine. It may take a couple of cycles, but the smell will come out. Your satisfaction is important to us, and we hope you'll give Dawn another try.
