The start projector option is nice. However, for the planet display option it’s not automatic you have to manually change the slides which is not as fun for a child.

Great projector for young kids
My mom bought this for my five year old for Christmas, and he is *obsessed.* He has loved space since he was two, and this has been an awesome addition to his room. He loves picking what to put on his ceiling or wall to fall asleep to. The projector has three different slide rolls, and a “star” projector on the other side. It has an automatic shut off, and you can adjust the focus on the lens so that the image is clear depending on how far or close the projector is to the wall/ceiling. Overall I’d highly recommend for the price!

Gave the Discovery Planetarium Projector in shape of a spaceship to a five and two year old boys. They loved the learning projector as the boys are interested in the solar system. They could name most of the images and explain to the parents. Easy to setup by adding three AA batteries and project on a wall or ceiling!

This is the second one I’ve purchased and I plan on getting more. We have five grandsons and they all love it. So I’m getting them as they get big enough for them. Everyone loves them! Our 3 year old all the way up to our 7 year old! Easy and fun to use and a great teaching tool!

cannot replace bulb
my granddaughters LOVED this stars and planet projector, but after 7 months, the bulb burned out and you cannot replace the bulb. i inquired about warranty, but the projector only has a 90day warranty. so no option, but to buy another one, but we won’t be doing that if we have to keep replacing the item every few months.
