Terrible toy. Poor quality. My kid played with it for 2 min and moved on. We do not like any of their products. Don't waste your money.

Just purchased this for my 3 year old who is currently obsessed with the planets in our solar system. He was absolutely excited to put this together, but the solar system activity is missing a crucial piece (a ring that helps to hold it up). I thought I was losing my mind going through all of the pieces to see if I maybe misplaced it, but it looks like I’m not the only reviewer who had this issue. I looked in every little baggie and in every inch of area that we were in as we put it together and I could not find it. So now the thing won’t stand up straight and just stays tilted and very sad looking. Also the thing is flimsy overall, so if any of the sticky tabs that help hold the planets together rips off, the whole thing comes off and ruins the whole design. So I wouldn’t buy this for kids with rough hands. It is overall a great kit with really interesting activities. It comes with a cute little folder that is perfect to make your little astronaut get excited for the STEM activity. Instructions were fairly simple to put it all together. All the items in the pack seem to be of great quality besides what I had mentioned earlier. It’s just a shame that we couldn’t appropriately put ours together due to one crucial missing piece. I guess we were just one of the unfortunate ones with this kit.

KiwiCo is such a good company. This project was really fun, and gave my nephew something to work on with his dad. They had a great time together.

This was the perfect present for my 5 year old space fan. He loved playing with it although I had to help him assemble it. The rocket ship was a fun addition too, I wish the paper for the rocket ship were thicker. One of the piece the “black circle” was hard to find - it was actually in the sealed bag for the rocket ship and not together with the other solar system materials.

Very fun activity for kids

My 6 year old got this for Christmas and loved it. Assembly was easy; it took just a little bit of time and was a fun project for us to do together. He loves looking at it on the daily and it has a special spot on his bookcase.

My kids love this KiwiCo Build and Learn Astronaut Kit! It is very interactive and has many parts, which gives all our kids a chance to participate in building. The reading materials are engaging and fun and keep their interest. They want to explore more on their own which is exactly what we hoped for. I would definitely recommend this kit!

This is our first KiwiCo box and it was so much fun! We got the astronaut kit. And it wasn’t just the project. It came with a poster of the solar system as well as a guide on how to be an astronaut. My 5 year old loved it. Can’t wait to try another KiwiCo box.

There were so many cool learning and interactive parts of this box! My son is almost 6 and loved every part. He's really into space, so creating the 3D model was very appealing and getting to design it by painting adds into the fun of him making it himself. He also loved the rocket launching! The kit comes with a lot and everything you need. There's a certificate included in the box that when all steps are complete, he received. We spread it out over a weekend. Such a cute idea to make learning fun. It's a must for space loving kids because then they have these cool things to display in their room.

This kit is very cool and very educational. I’d definitely recommend for any astro / astronaut lover. They can paint the planets and learn so much. Make it a family fun night. Quality is great too! 10/10!

What a great STEM project. It comes with everything you need to create our solar system and a rocket to fly over it. Easy instructions for kids to follow and assemble. There is cute a journal folder that holds information on being an astronaut. No need to get paint or a brush it's all included.

Solar system kit is amazing way to learn about planets for little ones. Kids enjoyed painting the planets and as well as setting up the system. It’s a great rainy day project and kept them busy for hours.

This is such a great learning toy. Me and my daughter had lots of fun putting this together. I like that you can build a solar system model and a little rocket ship. This set also include a little poster, instructions, materials and even a little guide about the solar system. So informative and awesome.

My kids are total space nerds, and when we saw this we had to grab it! Its a small diorama of the planets that the kids get to paint ans build. It rotates pretty well, too! My kids loved looking up what colors to paint the planets (gas giants, ice planets, oh my!), ans my oldest did a fantastic job putting it together. This was a family affair (4 kids, aged 5 to 10), which we highly recommend! And the shooting rocket (blasted off by air pressure) was a sweet bonus for my son!

Attempted to do this with my godson as the other kids weren't interested. He has trouble focusing and sitting still so the painting aspect wasn't enjoyable for me (paint got everywhere but didn’t expect anything less. It was easy to wash off.) He really liked the little rockets though both were lost within the day. I like the educational side of it and if your child loves space they will love this kit. It has a journal with instructions and does actually have everything you need so no need to run out to get something.

This kit is so cute and keeps kids entertained. My son finished it before I could get pictures but he was so excited to show his friends. It even taught him all the planets and what they look like. I will definitely be buying more Kiwico products.
