Works for some doesnt work for others
I feel like this is a 50/50 thermometer. Works for some just fine but then like this one I got, it does it’s own thing. Bought this for under $5 and used it when I knew I was sick. It gave me 3-6 different temperatures. I tossed it. Don’t buy unless you got $5 to waste to see if it even works or not for you. I will be going with something different.

Piece of junk
Piece of junk. I tested the first one I received and it said my temperature was 95 degrees. I tested with a different thermometer I had and it said my temperature was 97.8. Target sent me a replacement thermometer and that one said my temperature was 95.5. My temperature really was 98. Buy a different one.

Arrived broken
It keeps saying my environmental temp is too low for it to be used. Reading the instructions it says temp has to be at least 89 degrees, that makes no sense. I just tested myself and have covid and I can't figure out if I have a temp or not, this thing is useless
