Q: Hi there! What is the RDA value (abrasiveness) for this toothpaste? I'm a dental hygienist and a patient asked me, but I haven't been able to find it in the product info or specs. Thank you!

submitted by mkpr08 - 2 years ago

  • A: I don't know about abrasive values (RDA values) but I can tell you that this toothpaste is not abrasive like other whitening toothpastes I've used. I don't find it abrasive at all.

submitted byTlynfav - 11 months ago

  • A: Hello Guest - We appreciate your interest in this toothpaste. The relative dentin abrasion (RDA) value for the product in question (Up&Up Extra Sensitive Whitening TP 049/09/0208) is 163.75 ± 1.61. Happy shopping at Target. – Alvin

  • A: Just because this product does not test on animals does not mean the product is cruelty free. You need to check if each provider of individual ingredients tests on animals, which usually is a yes.

Q: Is this product approved by the American dental association?

submitted by momcasmi - 4 years ago

  • A: Hello - Thank you for the important question. Although Up and Up toothpaste contains fluoride, the ingredient required in order to obtain ADA approval, it does not hold the ADA seal. It is very effective and tastes great though! Hope this helps. - Dee Dee

    Best Toothpaste!

This is my favorite toothpaste and have been using it for quite some time now. It whitens your teeth without making them sensitive after brushing. I highly recommend!

    Great toothpaste

I love this toothpaste. I wish it came in bigger sizes!!! I’ve been buying it for YEARS. Truly no difference from sensodyne except for milder flavor and Wayyyyy cheaper. Serves the same purpose and does it well.

    NOT FOR SENSITIVE TEETH

It is not for sensitive teeth. There was another option without the whitening that worked great but was discontinued. I have used this for a week and my teeth are sensitive to heat and cold again.

Odd almost cinnamon smell. Not a Sensodyne dupe as it claims.

Odd smell/taste and mint is not as refreshing as Sensodyne. Sensitivity effectiveness seems the same but have only used it a few days.
