I switched from Apple to Garmin due to its features, but I am consistently experiencing connection issues that I did not encounter with Apple. Despite following all recommended troubleshooting steps, the problem persists. I previously used a Garmin device with limited features, which I enjoyed, but it was not a watch.

Way over complicated for a simple run twice a week. I've gone back to using my Forerunner 55 for a simple run. Works nice for biking though.

I purchased this watch to replace an old Vivoactive 3 that I have run into the ground. This watch is a phenomenal upgrade by direct comparison. The HR monitor is inconsistent and not the most accurate. The GPS coverage is quite accurate along. The band is quite comfortable and easily adjustable. I would recommend disabling the touch screen as the touch is inconsistent on this watch. There is good data analysis which is a nice feature. The Forerunner 165 is a good watch, and I would definitely recommend it.

I’m pretty sure the watch is wonderful. My reservation is that it has way too many features for my purposes. My previous watch, (Vivosmart?), stopped charging and the watch recommended to me by a Garmin rep didn’t have onboard GPS, meaning I’d have to drag my phone along on walks and runs. If I wanted to do that I’d just use Strava. The 165 is, I believe, the most basic watch with GPS. I may be wrong about that. I didn’t do exhaustive independent research, that’s just my understanding after talking to the Garmin reps. As I said, the 165 has plenty of features, most of which I don’t want, won’t use, and won’t spend the time to figure them out. I’m at the point where I can use the watch but it still takes some trial and error to get to what I want to do. Again, that’s just me. The watch, I’m sure, is a wonder.

This is my 3rd garmin watch and I use it nearly daily to track my runs. I love it. I've noticed this watch syncs up to GPS way faster than my old instinct or forerunner 245. It is just top notch.

I bought this watch approximately 3 weeks ago to track my sleep and workouts. So far I am loving this watch even more than my Apple Watch. The battery life is awesome and the gps seems very accurate. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another one in the future.

I replaced my 7yr old 645 with the 165 and it's great! It feels like it weighs a fraction of what the 645 did and I like the touch screen and the batter life is great. I charge it about once every 10 days.

I purchased the Garmin 165 because I wanted better GPS accuracy for my runs and hikes. I’m still getting used to all the information the watch provides but the accuracy is excellent and I love it! I also love the sleep analysis and the run reminders. The band is comfortable and I appreciate the length of the band, which offers nice adjustments. I recommend the Garmin 165-reasonably priced with so much to offer!

I bought this about a month ago, and I love it. I switched to a Garmin Forerunner 165 as I have gotten more serious about running. The running plans on the watch are incredible, the watch itself is super easy to use, and the GPS tracking system I find to be very accurate. I would recommend.
