It’s not very user friendly the cleaning process is very intense. My ice maker arrived damaged with a dent on the side. Aside from that it does make a large amount of nugget ice.

I ran a cleaning cycle several times, the issue remained. For the cost I am not going to wonder if it will make ice or not every day, so it was returned.

We are now on our second one of these. The first one started making this loud clunking and then slamming noise. GE sent us a second one and this new one now makes a high pitch noise (it sounds like the emergency broadcast system noise) any time the pump turns on. For what you pay for these things are not very good quality.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] LOVE this ice maker! It's really quick to get set up and easy to use. It does need cleaning/descaling regularly, but again, it's very simple to do. I like that it has an app as well so that I can turn it on before I get home and not have to leave it on all day to make sure I have ice when I get home! It makes plenty of ice for me alone. I only empty the bin when I have several people over and am making drinks. It's really efficient and by the time folks are ready for another round, it's produced enough ice! It's pretty big as far as countertop appliances go, so if you have limited cooking space I would recommend putting it on a side table. My one improvement would be to make it quieter. It really doesn't bother me much, I just notice it as I have it next to the hallway.

It makes great ice and I fill it up maybe once a week with distilled water and when I say the family love it, its awesome. No more running to the local gas station for crunchy ice. You have got to get you one.

Love the ice it makes the only issue is that it now makes a knocking sound & other load sound when it is starting to make ice. This is our second machine, the 1st one just stopped working after having it just over 1 year & now this acting up too.

The ice itself is great. Set-up/installation was incredibly easy. The amount of ice it produces is satisfactory for our 3 person home. Bought this Feb 2024 and it started making loud banging noise the last 6mo and now just stopped working. Had high hopes but this is frustrating for the cost.
