Q: Does the radio still come on full blast loud when you turn on the stereo power button? Many other customers have complained about this in other reviews.

    Terrible reception!

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is IKB318S, which wasn't an option on products to review, but close to the one listed. I bought this radio hoping it would have better reception than the little portable radio I currently have. And really wanted one to go under the cabinet to save space. But the reception is terrible. It barely picks up any stations and none without a snowy sound. It doesn't matter what I do with the antenna wire, it doesn't improve. Also the print on the tiny little shiny buttons is impossible to read. I'm returning it.

    Space-saving Convenience

    This unit replaces a very old, breaking-apart item with similar functions. This iLive system is so great! I'm still very connected to my CD collection, and I can now play CDs again with ease, while working around the kitchen. The radio gets good reception. I was surprised that there was an antenna included. BONUS. The radio preset programming is a little hard to figure out. I've tried to follow the instructions, but it's not working exactly like the manual describes. I was able, eventually, to program a few of my favorite stations, though. One annoying deficit: The (radio) search mechanism has a sensitive receiver. The search stops at EVERY viable signal even those that are very staticky or faint. There's no way to over-ride the process. Like, for example, you can't hold down the search button to scroll the dial to a station you know you want to go to. You have to press the button over and over and over (because it stops at EVERY signal). I really like the bluetooth function. It was not hard to set up, even for this technophobe.

    Unfortunately, does not work continuously

    It works fine for a few days, then no sound comes out. The only way to make it work again is to unplug it and plug it back in. This looses all the programming. Not sure if it thinks it is connected to a phone or what bit gets flipped, but nothing but power cycle recovers. Don't buy this unit.

    CD Tray Won't Open
