Q: Is it good for relaxing hair?
A: Hello! John Frieda's Precision Foam Colour is a foam hair color that locks in salon-quality color and freshness, and not a relaxer product. Please call us with other questions at 800-521-3189.
submitted byJohnFriedaExpert - 2 years agoA: Hey, Coloring your hair right after this type of treatment can easily over process, over lighten, or make your hair more susceptible to damage. We recommend waiting two weeks between your chemical treatment and coloring your hair. Q: Hi I have dark long brown hair with gray hairs and I would like to know if this product is going to be burning or have that strong smell like other ones? I am looking at the espresso color.
A: No burning & the smell is lighter than most. But beware, these products pull red VERY easily. Even the ones advertised as B or G.
submitted byDallus67 - 4 years agoA: Hello Butterflybelle23! This hair color does have a strong scent. As far as reactions go, we recommend conducting a patch test to be sure, before applying all over. Hope this is helpful!

Q: My hair is pretty blond. I need to dye my whole hair brown for a play. Will 4N dark natural brown give me the look I’m searching for?
A: Do NOT go with the BG! You will most definitely end up with a red tint!!

Q: Hello is this product safe for natural chemical free african american hair? I do not want a product that will straighten my hair. Want to keep my curl pattern. Thanks
A: Great question Kay! Some may see an impact, some may not. Hair treatments relying on a chemical reaction (permanent color, relaxing, perming) could impact curl pattern depending on the person, hair type, and product use.

A: Hey Sumaya, Great question! The John Frieda Precision Foam Colour is a permanent Hair Color formula that penetrates strands for deep color saturation. Q: I recently dyed I my hair color burgundy can I lighten it with this product? I'm afraid it could turn purple.
A: Thank you for asking! Your current hair color will influence your final result. We recommend selecting a shade no more than 2 shade levels away from your current color. Please refer to the Shade Guide on the side of the box and pictured in the listing for more information on how to pick the right product for your hair. Additionally, Precision Foam Color does not have the ability to lighten hair that has already been color treated. Specifically, 2A is a highly depositing product that will deposit darker color on burgundy hair. If your hair was originally blonde, then the blue-black and burgundy could potentially look purple, but if your hair was dark (brown/black) to begin with, the blue-black and burgundy will probably not result in looking purple. If you have additional questions, please feel free to give us a call at 800-521-3189.
