[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received Magic Root Cover Up as a sample to review on Influenster. I am not a fan of this product. I don’t think I would even use it in a pinch. I don’t like the nozzle as it sprays out way too much product and it’s hard to disperse. On top of that you will color your scalp. I’m also not a fan of the scent. I would rather use a different type of spray nozzle or maybe even a colored hair powder. I would not recommend this product nor buy in the future.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Magic Root is a quick, easy fix for covering your gray roots between hair coloring appointments. It dries quickly and lasts all day until your next shampoo. I found it is much more effective on the top of your head- less so around your temples. Be careful when spraying. Use short, quick sprays to avoid splatter or dripping. Also, buy a shade lighter than your natural hair color for the best blending. There is even enough in one can for multiple uses- making it much more cost effective. I definitely recommend!

But, since I previously tried the light brown in L'oreal Magic Root Cover Up and found it to be too dark for me, I decided to get the dark blonde this time. It's a much better match for my dark blonde hair. My natural hair color is light brown, but I have highlights and lowlights. I also have a lot of white at my part line, and you can see in the photo that this covers it up and blends fairly well. It's easy to spray and stays on all day.

No odor, doesn't bleed, sticks to the spot you spray, but can be wiped away if you get over spray. This small bottle actually lasts for quite a while as the product will last until your next shampoo. If you have greys or thin hair I recommend this as it covers the Grey but blends very well with the rest of the hair. Many color choices makes it easy to find a shade match.

Easy to apply has a streamline nozzle that does not spray out excess product. With a good hair match it provides excellent coverage. No real noticeable scent. Really great value for the coverage it provides.. Definitely recommend.

But really, hair dye is the way to go in my opinion. It did blend with my hair color so I cannot tell the difference between the spray and my hair color. So it shade matched. I don't smell anything, so that's a plus—no hair dye smell.

The color level was a deep, dark black so I try not to use so much so it won't look like a color spray. It didn't have much of a smell. I definitely will buy it again. It covered all of my gray spots in my roots like I wanted.
If you need a real quick cover up, it works.

The color match (dark blond) is great with little to no scent. Extra bonus though, appears to fill in thinning hair. I am a bit worried about sweating and my pillowcase but overall it’s not bad.

There is no scent and clean up is easy as the product’s texture is light. If you apply too much it does have the potential to make the hair a bit stiff. Fortunately, you can brush right through the hair after application. A big plus if you would like to build the coverage. I find one bottle goes quickly and the price point is awesome. However, you will need to repurchase rather quickly. I would highly recommend this product to someone looking for light, buildable hair color coverage in between color processing appointments.

I didn’t notice a scent that was a good thing! And I love the packaging the spray was tough and it was a little messy but I would definitely use it again!
