  • A: Yes and no. The size of your breast makes mo mind to what size MM shield you need. What does determine what you need is how large your nipple is and the age of your baby. Typically the 24MM is for small nipples and/or a newborn. Seek the advice of a certified lactation consultant to help determine the best fit for you and your baby. Ask your OBGYN or Pediatrician if you need a reference to a Lactation Consultant.

Instead, we recommend hand washing in warm, soapy water and allowing them to air dry. To sanitize the shields, place them in a pot of boiling water for 5 minutes, taking care to add enough water so that the parts do not contact the pan’s surfaces, and allow them to air dry.

    Poor suction and leaking

    Game changers!

    I bought these on the recommendation of a lactation consultant, and my midwife as my baby could not latch onto my nipples. They have completely changed my breastfeeding journey as I could not have breastfed without them. My only wish was that I had bought them before my baby was born so that I could have breastfed her when in hospital.

    Baby could not latch it.

    I left my shield at home when traveling. The target we stopped at only had this brand so I bought it to try with my tongue tied baby. He couldn’t latch it. I’m sure if your baby can it would be great.

    Nipple shield

    I bought two pack of nipple shield , one is 20mm and second one is 24mm, I am very satisfied with price and quality , it's so soft and plus it has very good quality and design I love it .

    I could cry!! Must have!

    This is a must have I never thought I needed because my babies were always “easy” to nurse (asides from the first few days newborn where your nipples get sore) well i am nursing my third baby now who is 10 months old and this girl likes to bite me!!! None of the tricks to get them to stop biting work with her and she got me so deep it turned into a fissure. Everytime she latched for 3 weeks I would scream and kick my feet and yell at everyone around me (my other kids and husband). My friend told me to try these and I did and my baby took to it right away and I had no pain!! Even pumping my right boob was hurting my nipple because the bite was so sore it kept tearing open. Now I can finally let my poor nipple heal. My baby does take bottles when I’m at work twice a week but she’s pretty picky about the nipple and she took this no problem! For my fourth baby I’m going to for sure pack these in the hospital bag so my nipples have a break if they get sore those first few days!

    Great shield but may need to size up

    My lactation consultant recommended this over the medela one because I have flat nipples. The medela shield is extremely pointy and not shaped like me. Over time my flat nipples have changed and are more gumdrop shaped which resembles the shape of this shield perfectly. It made it very easy to transition away from the shield but also made it easier for my baby to latch when she was struggling. I will say the sizing is not accurate. The 20mm was too small for me even though I use a 19-20mm flange with my pump and the 20mm medela is a little big so I’d recommend sizing up if 20mm is your typical size.

    Comfortable
