I had to install the output tray correctly. I couldn’t open the ADF input tray. I do recommend Epson consider better quality control supervision. Besides that, the setup was easy. The printer works great. I believe I got a great deal.

Very glad i made this purchase

the epson ecotank 4850 is so awsome, this thing can do it all, i printed out 150 4x6 color photos and only used about 1/4 of the ink, just amazing, i am having no trouble with the ADF, and never get any paper jams.

Falls Short

Bought this to replace an aging HP OfficeJet and get out from under the ridiculous ink cartridge prices and restrictions. The first thing that becomes apparent is how behind the times EPSON is with its convoluted, repetitive and confusing software that is somewhat unintelligent.(Why does EpsonConnect keep telling me the e-mail address is invalid when it is not and all settings are compliant?) The machine itself is somewhat behind the times in its lack of an ability to scan 2-sided documents (Yes you can scan them and spend time rearranging pages into the correct order, but HP does that automatically). I also find the print to be slightly lower in quality than that of my old printer and colors somewhat less vibrant.

Feeling ONLY lukewarm about my printer

I was excited about ordering an Epson printer with inkwells rather than cartridges except I didn’t know I was gonna have such a hard time, finding a driver for the printer to be used with my Dell desktop.

Epson Customer service sucks!!

Epson customer service sucks! I was sent the wrong power source and after being on the phone for 25 min it was not resolved. Still Have the two prong plug they sent me and need a three prong. I have to call back with a purchase receipt and give them a number they gave me. I’m not trying to get something for nothing and it’s just a power cord but a very important need.

Great value, compact, works great

@$200 it can not be beat. They included bottles of ink likely to be sufficient for my light use for years. Would be nice to have collated scans but I only use that perhaps once a year.

Printer is defective

The printer will not print, could not install new firmware. After 2 hours of trying to set up I gave up.

Excellent multi function eco tank printer!

Easy to setup, works well, print quality is decent, the ADF is great to have, I’ve used it to scan 30 page documents, works beautifully. I’ve only had it a few weeks, so don’t know how long the ink will last, but from what so many others have said, it lasts for thousands of pages! So we’ll see, I was tired of buying cartridges every few weeks.
