No Longer the same
They used to be a deeper color, better texture and more flavorful. Now they are almost bright white in color, cakey texture without the same deep flavor. They taste like the Martha White brand now, which I have never liked. Change it back!!

Hello! I believe baking the muffins in a non stic
Hello! I believe baking the muffins in a non stick light colored cupcake pan at 400 degrees is too hot. I set the timer for 15 minutes and took the muffins out of the oven a minute 15 seconds early. They appeared to be getting too brown on the top and I was concerned they would be dry. My oven bakes very accurately. I suggest testing the mix at 375 degrees because it may bake better. I prefer the Betty Crocker Oat-Tastic Chocolate Ch
I prefer the Betty Crocker Oat-Tastic Chocolate Chip Muffin Mix, but I couldn't finish the whole box by myself. The smaller size of this mix is perfect for cooking alone. The way I make these extra special (for both the oat-tastic ones and these) is to do the following: - add a single-serve packet of instant coffee to 1/4 warm water. Mix, then add 1/4 cup milk for the liquid. - add a spoonful of cocoa powder (about 1 tsp) - add 1/4 tsp of vanilla - pour into mini muffin cups (fills about 15). I have a nonstick pan, so it's 375 for 12 minutes. When I do regular size, I add 1/2 chocolate chips. - add sugar sprinkles to the top right before baking. The additions really elevate these basic muffins into something you'd get from a coffee house.
