The Waterpik for kids is a compact and effective dental flosser that encourages good oral hygiene habits among children. It features multiple pressure settings, making it suitable for various age groups and sensitivities. Many guests appreciate its small footprint, making it ideal for limited bathroom space. However, some guests noted the absence of a lid for the water reservoir and a pause button, which could enhance usability and cleanliness. Overall, it is a fun and practical tool for maintaining dental health.

Do not waste your money on this
I bought this for myself - for the small size. I'm an adult who has been using a water pik daily for over 10 years. 1. In order to use a waterpik, the part with the tip needs to rotate from the base as you move it through your mouth. This one is VERY DIFFICULT to turn, and IMPOSSIBLE when it's wet. So you have to fight with the cord to get the right angle. NO KID could do this!! 2. It didn't say what tips came with it, so let me tell you. A plain tip and one with a brush on it - for orthodontics maybe. I had to order a periodontic tip after opening the unit. 3. At first I was delighted with the lower noise level compared to my 10 year old unit, but there is a pitch to it that that bothers my ear closest to the unit. To sum up: just buy the regular one, even for - or especially for - kids. This one is designed badly.

Kid-friendly and easy to use
Kid-friendly and easy to use. So happy we got this for my child who recently had some braces put in. Waterpik is definitely easier to use than dealing with floss. Great design too. No worry about mold build up.

Santa's gift that kept on giving!
Water Pik is Dentist recommended and praised for the protection provide for gum health. I have had a Water Pik as far back as Teledyne Water Pik was heavily advertised on the media before a Christmas season in my young life. It was a holiday gift to me in my stocking above a fireplace by Santa.

Works well, but could be improved
It’s a waterpick with a relatively small footprint. However, if it had a cover over the water reservoir to protect from dust settling inside that would be helpful. Also, because I use it on my kids, it really needs a pause button. Without one, it makes a huge mess. I’m thinking of getting a cordless water pin, instead. This isn’t user friendly enough without those improvements.

Not just for kids.
I am an adult and I love this child's waterppic flosser. It has a powerful stream and it is easy to empty and to care for. I really like how it takes up so much less space on the countertop than the bigger adult flossers.

Cancer warning
Cancer warning. This product is for kids. Don’t say this on the website or when I checked out that it had a cancer warning on it.

We recently completed testing of our water flosser products for compliance with the California Prop 65 law. Test results indicate no chemicals on the Prop 65 list were detected or exceeded the Safe Harbor Limit; therefore, placing the warning label on our water flosser products is not required.

Like the size but ...
I purchased this for the size, was tired of the Ultra I had. I like the low pressure settings but it is very rough. I really miss the rotating handle, and I think the motor in the Ultra provides a more gentle flossing. Really wanted to love it. Super cute, but after months of using it I'm finding I'm water flossing less and my gums are more sensitive.

Perfect size for travel trailer
I have the Little Traveler Waterpik for traveling so wanted another for the travel trailer. This one is perfect. The green accents even match the interior.

Awesome product for kids
Easy for kids to use. Great quality, no issues. Don't have to worry about the strongest setting being too rough on gums.

Worth consideration
The unit is smaller than the adult version and the choices are sufficient compared to what I used on my previous adult unit. It seems to hold enough water and the water bin acts as a cover for hygiene purposes. It does seem a little less substantial/durable compared to the adult version. However if it lasts as long as the other, then I feel I have gotten my money’s worth. My previous adult model didn’t last as long as the 1 I had before it, so I decided to try this version which was slightly less expensive.

Poor Quality; Get Adult Version Instead
Poor quality; seems more like a toy than a dental device. Returned for an adult/regular version. No lid on water reservoir, making is seem unsanitary. And, water reservoir is designed to cover the base, making it even less sanitary.

Kids water flosser
I like the water pick my 9 year old loves using it everyday. The only thing is not coming with a lid on the water tank. I ordered a 3D printed one online.

Has a Prop 65 warning
My first review was “moderated” for not meeting guidelines. All I can think is the warning on the box is meant not to be seen? I was assured before purchase there was not a warning but when it arrived there was a warning. All I want to know is what components are required to have the label. It is a product for children and I would appreciate a forth coming response.

My 2nd Kids Waterpik!
I purchased my first Kids Waterpik in 2014. The adult Waterpik’s felt like they were cutting my gums, even on the lowest setting. My 2014 machine sprang a leak in the hose. I thought having this for 9 yrs was great, since I use it 2-3x a day. I immediately ordered another one! I love this machine!

Messy but effective
I purchased this for my ten year old son to use since he hates flossing. It’s compact and fits nicely on the vanity. The pressure is the right amount for his gums. The only negative is that the handle on the waterpik doesn’t have the power button on it like the adult version. Every time my son needs to turn it off he makes a big mess because he has to look for the power button on the unit. Overall, it’s a good product just a little messy.

Mold!
We purchased this water flossed for our 8 year old as she just got a palatial expander and will progress to braces eventually. It worked well and she used it with ease. However we recently removed the wand attachment and noticed mold on the interior. There doesn't seem to be a way to thoroughly clean this so we are left with it being unusable.

Hi Lindsey B - We are sorry that this happened. Running distilled white vinegar and warm water through the unit and handle soaking the handle regularly, as recommended, will prevent the issue by breaking down any buildup that may be accumulating. Here is a link to our cleaning blog that has detailed cleaning instructions: https://www.waterpik.com/oral-health/product-support/articles/how-to-clean-waterpik-water-flosser-vinegar/. If this does not fix the issue, the unit carries a two-year warranty. We would be happy to help! Please email me directly at smreviews@waterpik.com. Or you can call customer service at 1-800-525-2774 for assistance.
