Saw this recommended on America Test Kitchen. They were right. Easy to grab or pickup items, secure.

I like that you can adjust it to stay open or closed. I use these to remove things from hot water. Nice.

I'm very happy with these tongs. The size is perfect, the grip is great, and the clamp that holds it closed is very strong. Super easy to clean and I recommend air drying, hand drying with a towel can be a bit tedious.

I love love these tongs. I have two in my kitchen. The best thing about these are the metal food part and even better that there are rubber grip’s because i hate all metal tongs so these are perfect!!

These have held up to a lot of use in our kitchen, and they do a great job and look nice. They’re also super easy to clean.

I thought that by having the release button at the top of the tongs would be easier, but it makes it a lot harder when you have to use both hands to open while cooking. Wish I can return !

oxo seems to make decent products..used it a few times...felt comfortable when using it...sturdy..

Watch it if you're clumsy like me. The locking mechanism in this is so strong that the spring "Flings Open" once unlocked which is a recipe for liquid splatters. Not a bad thing necessarily and I got used to it. Some tongs feel flimsier but these have a really stable range of motion. The grips on the handle make it heavier and less likely to fling itself off the countertop. I have poor eyesight so this helps me be less clumsy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have often found myself with hair-less knuckles by the end of summer due to my short tongs making my reach across extreme heat and flames to retrieve and slip my food. These tongs have solved that simple but annoying problem. These are SO great for using to reach the back side of my pellet grill to flip chicken. The length is absolutely perfect. They also work great for cooking on my outdoor griddle to again, keep my hand further from the extreme heat. The metal material is great and shows very little wear even after my rough use cooking outside. They clean up so easy! Just rinse and toss in the dishwasher. The one downside to these is that they cannot be used on non-stick skillets or delicate surface cookware as the bare metal ends will scratch and ruin the surfaces. These are now my go-to grilling tongs!

One con I found is that due to the fact that the tip is round, these tongs don't grab little pieces of food too well, they work better with bib pieces. But, overall, they are great!

I already had a pair of tongs from OXO with the nylon head, but I really wanted a set of entirely stainless steel tongs for certain use cases in the kitchen. I'm happy to say that I like these even better than the nylon tongs. I find them better at gripping onto food, like when I'm browning meat in my instant pot that I need to flip, and it's great that I don't have to worry about damaging the tips like I do with my nylon tongs. The spring in the tongs provides just the right amount of tension, and I love the tab that keeps the tongs closed when they're sitting in my drawer. And I love that these are dishwasher safe!

Great for cooking with stainless steel cookware and food prep. The locking mechanism is smooth and easy to use and doubles as a hanging hook. The black grips are removable for cleaning and the whole thing is dishwasher safe. The scalloped teeth line up perfectly and work for picking up small or delicate items. These are a definite step up from many other generic tongs and are worth the upgrade.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These Oxo Good Grips Locking Tongs may cost a bit more than some but are well made and just the right size for most kitchen jobs. The construction is stainless steel with substantial plastic handles. The locking mechanism is easy to operate too - you just push or pull the eyelet to open/lock the tongs and when locked they'll fit in an average kitchen draw. The ends grip most foods such as sausages, chicken legs etc. well and the tongs are easy to clean and dishwasher safe.
