Directions

Supervise children as necessary until capable of using without supervision. Antiplaque and antigingivitis use not proven in children.

Adults and Children 6 Years of Age and Older:

Brush teeth thoroughly, preferably after each meal or at least twice a day, or as directed by a dentist or a physician.

Children Under 12 Years:

Instruct in good brushing and rinsing habits (to minimize swallowing).

Children Under 6 Years:

  • A: Literally everything is a chemical. You are a chemical. Oxygen is a chemical. I do know you mean potentially harmful chemicals, though. Nothing in this is harmful to you if you do not consume it, and even then, a small amount consumed likely wouldn't harm you.

We don't recommend swallowing our toothpaste. For adults and children 12 years of age and older: apply at least a 1-inch strip of product onto a soft bristled toothbrush. Brush teeth thoroughly for at least 1 minute twice a day (morning and evening) or as recommended by a dentist. Make sure to brush all sensitive areas of the teeth. Do not swallow. For children under 12 years of age: please consult a dentist.

Q: Is this good to brush my dogs teeth with? He's got some horrible yellow teeth? I'm just asking because it's a lot cheaper than using the bleach trays I've been using on him.

  • A: You're likely joking, but it's unfunny. If you're serious: dog teeth being yellow is normal and fine. You should never use human toothpaste on a dog or cat, and you should definitely never use teeth whitening kits on them either. They do not need to have white teeth (and neither do humans, frankly).

    Stained my tooth

    I was using the purple listerine but stopped using it because there was a fluoride staining warning. Since I was also using this at the same time I realized I needed to use one product with fluoride. However I did purchase the Colgate Total Mouthwash too. I brush my teeth twice a day, floss, and use the mouthwash twice a day as well. I bought the bigger toothpaste but already made a review on there so now I’m over here. This morning I noticed a brown stain on my incisor. It’s towards the bottom. I didn’t like this toothpaste to begin with but now I do not like it and I only got it because I went to the dentist and this toothpaste was in the pack. I was aware of the staining which is why I got rid of the purple listerine and got the toothpaste brand mouthwash which doesn’t say anything about staining. I got rid of the purple one two months ago. Now I have to whiten my teeth and use a purchase a different toothpaste, brand as well. I don’t even like the mouthwash as I have to gargle for longer than 60 seconds to achieve fresh breath or else it doesn’t work.
