    bad 0% recommend do not buy this save your money

    made my long thick healthy hair fall out in clumps and now i have to cut most of it off and it didnt lift at all. i left it on for 20 minutes. 20 freaking minutes and my hair started breaking off and coming out in clumps even while finger combing it while dry.

    The best!

    I’ve been using this color/bleach mix for years and it never disappoints. My natural hair is medium brown as you can see in the picture. I only bleach the crown of my head. I leave it on for about 1 hour (same for root touch up. If you know what you’re doing, it will work.

    Very poor lift.

    I bought this brand instead of my usual blonde lightning product. I read that it was more gentle on hair. However, any of the many hair lighteners/ bleach I have tried over the years, this one is the absolute worst. My roots had only grown out a little and they were medium brown. I followed the directions explicitly and my roots still turned out completely orange. This is even after washing it and using the antipress toner. This brand seems to be considerably weaker than any other brand I've bought even though it says it lifts up to eight levels (which is what I normally buy). Is nowhere near listening? Is five levels after the allotted time. I will have to wait several days and then purchase another brand. Continue the lightning process and not damage my hair any further. I do not recommend this product at all. Complete waste of money

    New formula is awful

    I've been using this dye for years and it always comes out a gorgeous deep purple that lasts easily 2 months before needing a touch up. The new formula however is awful! It fades to pink after 5 washes and requires constant touchups. I'm so disappointed. Deciding to make this dye vegan absolutely destroyed the colour and longevity.

    for those of you saying it turns your hair black, please look up color theory! the darkest black is blue black! i do use this color for black hair but it still has hints of blue in the sun! absolutely love this product and garnier’s box dye in general! it’s much safer than other brands, my hair stays extremely soft, and it smells soooo goodddd!!!!!

    Great product

    I love it! This color over my natural dark hair color ends up like very deep burgundy instead of a violet dye. It looks almost natural. The product does not damaged may hair at all. Using the right shampoo and conditioner my hair keeps the color for about 9 weeks. Even the faded color look good. For me this is an awesome product which deserved to be recommended.

    Not the same colour anymore

    I’ve bought this one multiple times and have always loved it . Now that you changed the box I think you tweaked the ingredients because my hair isn’t a beautiful raspberry colour anymore , it’s more orange … BRING BACK THE ORIGINAL !!

    Horrible.

    This is genuinely the worst purple hair dye I have ever used. My hair somehow turned lighter and patchier than how I started and it’s turned my hair pink and orange??? Would NOT recommend. And smells so strong when you put it on like ammonia and when you wash out is so strong like dye.

    It’s not violet.

    Did the try on this shade and loved what it said my hair would look like. It doesn’t look anything like that. My hair is red and I’m devastated. I’m going back to my other brand. I don’t trust Garnier after this and now seeing that the previous reviews also had people turn red instead of violet.

    Didn't Color my Hair

    I dyed my hair today with this product, B4 that I purchased in May 2025. I noticed it became very thick in the bottle after mixing it. I had to shake it several times to get it to come out. Maybe that was my warning that something was wrong. I put it on my hair and left it on 30 minutes. After rinsing it out, I noticed it barely colored my hair, and the gray was still showing. Kind of a dull color on my hair. I looked for an expiration date, but I didn't see one, only 70Z100.

    You’d think with all the bad reviews they’d change the formula or get rid of the color.. I had high hopes that it would come out the color but it’s not even purple. It’s pink/red and not at ALL what I wanted. If I wanted red I would have gotten red..
