  • A: If it's going to be on its side for very long (> 1 hour), you'll need to leave it standing 12 hours before plugging it in. This is because the coolant needs to redistribute, otherwise the compressor may get damaged. I would put it on its left side, if the door opens to the right. Don't lay it on its back or front.

    Whirlpool has Never let myself and my family down

    This Whirlpool mini refrigerator/freezer has more storage capacity than expected. I'm impressed with that. I like that it's energy efficient also. I've only had it plugged in for three days so far and noticed it is very quiet when running. I had a different brand(no names) and only had it for 8 months, that one was (bigger) but yet somehow didn't have the storage capacity as this one does also it was soooo loud it would wake me up a lot of nights. That one went to someone for parts because even those issues weren't all, it also got very very hot on both sides not just warm it got so hot then it failed to keep my food at safe temperatures I literally had to end up throwing so much food away that's when I said enough is enough and got rid of it only for parts and researched a while until I found this one I actually had no clue Target sold mini refrigerators until my researching after about an hour found this at Target. It's so far a great quality refrigerator/freezer and I believe it's going to be a great one for quite a few years because it's sooooo much better made than the other one and if I knew Whirlpool sold mini refrigerator/freezers I would have bought this instead in the first place because my family brought me up with Whirlpool appliances which has been 58 years of Whirlpool in our homes so I should have known but now I do and I'm very happy with once again another Whirlpool appliance. I refuse to buy anything else. Whirlpool has proven itself many times over through my years.

    Whirlpool Mini-Fridge. Great price, great storage, great specs! Super deal for the money!

    Perfect size for dorm, bedroom, den, or small efficiency apartment. Double door w/ separate fridge and freezer sections. Fridge will keep food from between 32° F and 48° F. Freezer compartment can get to -1° F to 32° F. A subzero freezer in a Mini Fridge at this price is incredible! Small enough to go anywhere, yet large enough to hold food and drink for a week for a single person. 2 liter and milk sized storage on door plus a six pack of cans. Plenty of room for fruits/ veggies in the produce drawer and 2 shelves for storing refrigerated foods, and room in the freezer for several TV dinners and a couple of steaks and hamburger. Great product for the price. The ONLY complaint I have is that the ad showed an energy cost of $34 / year, and the energy sticker that came with the unit showed $44.80 / year. Other than that, I believe this is one of the best deals you'll find anywhere for the quality and utility of this unit.
