Worth buying it again.

One request: if the base was wider (like my previous, older WeatherX), then I could assure that it doesn't fall/tip over.

Portable is a plus . . .
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just purchased this radio specifically because it's portable. I live in Oklahoma where tornadoes are pretty common. I also live in the country where there are no siren warnings. I have a NOAA weather radio in my bedroom which is great, but I wanted something to take to the garage storm shelter when under a tornado warning. I set the radio to the WA and found my station. I then took it out to my storm shelter & climbed in & shut the door to see if it continued to work. It did! Though it was a bit crackley & I had to move it around to find the best sweet spot for reception. All-in-all I'm pleased with the radios performance. The light/lantern will also come in handy. Happy with my purchase!

We have a lot of storms and tornadoes increasing here lately very effective and never have to worry about charging because there are so many other ways to keep it going definitely would recommend to have one in the house.
