What It Is: The first step in your cleansing routine, this cleansing balm melts away makeup (yes, even waterproof formulas) and washes away impurities without stripping skin. It preps skin for your second cleanse without leaving your skin feeling tight and dry.

Q: I purchased Versed Day Dissolve Cleansing Balm (19g) at my local Target on 8/7/2021 & don't see Polyethylene listed as an ingredient. Did the formula change and Polyethylene was removed, or are one of the other names listed as ingredients "Polyethylene"?

A: Day Dissolve does contain polyethylene as an ingredient. We formulate to the highest safety standards in the world, European Union standards, banning nearly 1,400 toxins and questionable ingredients. Polyethylene is currently recognized as safe. We're aware that there is some controversy around polyethylene and more research needs to be done in regards to the effect of this ingredient has or doesn't have on the environment. As we're constantly learning new things about ingredients our no list will evolve as the standards evolve, so thank you for your question and feedback on the matter! I bought this balm to remove my eye makeup and all over the packaging it says to use it for removing makeup, no special instructions of what makeup. Been using for a month and its given me 3 styes from clogged oil glands and burns my eyes so badly that I can’t see and they turn bright red. I figured eucalyptus can’t be good for your eyes so I look all over the packing for anything that suggests not using it on your eyes and on the bottom in the smallest print ever it says to avoid contact with eyes and if contact occurs to flush them with water immediately. I’ve never heard of a makeup remover that you can’t use on your eyes.

I absolutely love this cleansing balm. The ease with which it applies is matched by how easily it rinses off without feeling like a residue is left behind. My very sensitive skin always comes away feelinh so clean and calm, yet refreshed. I do have to be careful around the eyes as I find it irritates them a bit, but that's just me.

This is a great cleansing balm!! The only thing that I would say to be careful with this would be if you get sensitive to big smells. It doesn’t smell bad but the eucalyptus is strong. But I love the way it melts in your skin making it easy to remove makeup and excess oil!

I used to scrub my face three or four times with my standard facial cleanser to get all of my makeup off at the end of the day. It was tedious and rough on my skin, and sometimes there was STILL stuff left behind and I'd use coconut oil on a cotton pad to get the rest. Now I start with this and only have to use my cleanser one time afterwards! It really does melt away makeup like it claims. It goes on smooth and rinses away easily. No cotton pad needed either. I really appreciated the instructions printed directly on the container. This was the first time I've ever applied a makeup removing product to a dry face. But it works! The smell is refreshing and adds to the clean feeling. I would like to thank Versed for sending me this product for free in exchange for an honest review. I fully intend to keep it as a part of my makeup routine, and probably would not have ever tried it on my own had I not been offered the opportunity.

This cleanser works amazing in removing make up! I used to scrub my eyes and face with a cotton pad and micellar water before, but this one is much more gentle on the skin and with just a little bit of product the make up disappears like magic, also the more persistent make up around the eyes. The smell is also very good!
