No no no. This lasted me about 5mos. In btwn this time the shwr rod randomly feel dwn.. came hme and the rod was dwn; while at the rod was dwn. Target, want a freak’n refund. $30 for faulty products. Not worth it.

Nice looking shower rod
Finally got tired of the tension type rods falling down. This Nickel finish rod has been up for two weeks using the screw mount. Only tricky part is drilling through porcelain tile, installation instructions call for a diamond-tipped drillbit which we used although expensive, $20 per bit. Used a practice tile which worked well as one must start at a 45 degree angle and gradually move to a 90 degrees....go slow and steady. Many videos avail......uses one screw at each end so one could be off slightly if hols aren't exactly opposite, also put a drop of liquid soap on each screw to keep plastic anchor from moving.....good luck.

This rod was great the first 4 months..then the lack of tension issues begun. Now it doesn’t have any, won’t stay up and is going in the trash. Waste of money!

Sorry for your trouble. This rod will last YEARS as long as the it is installed using the instructions included in the kit or on the website. If only one of the locking steps is followed, it will not hold for an extended period of time. But, using our strong-hold lock system and ensuring it is properly tightened, it will outlast others in the market for both hold and corrosion. Left me hanging or should I say NOT hanging
As others have stated does not stay up. Some said theirs lasted a few weeks to a few months, this stayed up for just over a year… long enough to be outside the 365 return window that Target offers for your yearly membership. Would I recommend this rod? No, not at this price and design. Now that it has fallen it has left a dent in the rod and with the design of little to no tension I now have to figure out if or how to rehang it, $30.00 is way over priced for this garbage, should have known when I’d originally pulled it out of the box this wouldn’t be a solid rod. Thanks Target for taking my hard earned money and now I have to spend more to fix where you dropped the ‘rod’.

Don't miss the screws taped to the inside of the box
I think many reviewers are missing this: the hardware and instructions to mount it to the wall with screws is taped to the inside of the box. It’s easy to miss if you don’t know they’re in there. If it’s mounted with the provided wall anchors and screws it wont fall down. I’m returning it though because we can’t get the cap on one of the ends to come off so that we can screw it into the wall.

Come crashing down? Not if, but when.
As other reviews mention, this rod does not hold tension, and the adhesive on each end provides nothing more than a false sense of security. Even trying to get it to tighten into place was a chore. After a couple weeks (of thinking it was securely in place), it came crashing down on my son when he was showering. I was grateful it didn’t split his head open, but it did hurt him.

No Tension
Bought this to hold a shower curtain and cover the glass doors attached to my bathroom walls and bathtub in my rental. It came crashing down in the middle of the night despite having non-slip stickers on each end. The tension part of this tension rod is nonexistant and it just slips down the wall.

Rod lasted 4 months before it fell down. Thought I’d go buy replacement adhesive until I noticed the finish completely rubbed off from the curtain rings.
