A: The main difference between the cleaning modes is the number of oscillations and pulsations per minute. The Daily Clean mode will feature the highest amount of the the three modes, and the Whitening mode will feature the fewest.

Q: I bought the Oral B Power 1000 and I cannot figure out how to select a lower speed. It appears that there is only the very fast speed. No slower mode. can you help.

A: We're glad you asked. With this model, there are 3 brushing modes; Daily Clean, Whiten, and Sensitive. The brush will always start in the Daily Clean mode when turned on. When turning the brush on, you can press the On button twice to cycle to the Whiten brushing mode, and three times to cycle to the Sensitive brushing mode.

Inside the toothbrush heads grew black mold. All three family members and across two separate bathrooms we tried cleaning them and bought holders to hang up the heads after each use. Didn’t matter… mold always came bought. Tried contacting Oral-B and they offered to send us a couple of new brushheads. Should’ve heeded other online reviews about the mold. Threw them in the trash and went with a different brand.

All of our products go through extensive testing to ensure their quality, and this is not the experience that we would like you to have. As we are sure you previously discussed with our team, our brushes do not contain the organic materials needed to grow mold, and while uncommon, this can sometimes occur when there is toothpaste residue left after brushing, or if it is left in a place where there is excess bacteria. The best way to avoid this in the future is to make sure to thoroughly rinse the brush off after every session, and after turning the brush off, remove the brush head from the handle, towel dry it, and then allow the brush head to air dry before placing the unit back together. So far so good. I had to replace my Oral B electric that lasted me a good 7 years. I was a bit nervous trying to find a replacement but went with this version due to the best reviews of all the styles. It is a bit more powerful than the original as well and not too hard on my teeth or gums. I don't notice too much of a difference for the original brush

It’s loud, bulky and you can’t apply too much pressure while brushing or it’ll stop spinning. For the price I expected smoother motion. Collects a lot of water and between the replacement head. I guess it cleans okay, but I might go back to my less expensive electric toothbrush

It was very easy to setup, get charged, and use. My dentist recommended I get an electric toothbrush and after much research I settled with this over the Phillips Sonicare 4100. My teeth IMMEDIATELY felt so much better and my mouth definitely felt cleaner. Excellent choice all around!

It does not have a charging light. You never know if it is charging or not.. I have used many different types of Oral-B electric toothbrushes. Now, I decided to return these new ones to stores due to this worst design!!!

I used this toothbrush twice a day since I received it and my teeth and gums feel super clean and fresh. I love that this is a more affordable option for people who are passionate about good oral hygiene but unable to afford the higher price of a full on electric toothbrush.

It provides a terrific clean and I feel like in-between my teeth are getting clean without using floss daily. It's gentle feeling and has been very easy when I get near my sensitive gums. It doesn't feel as heavy as similar type tooth brushes which I like and since I've been using it I didn't need as much of a cleaning at the dentist on my last visit so I'm going to continue using it. I really like that I'm not having to use as much floss so far only when I ate something really sticky that was really stuck between my teeth.
