Our favorite
My baby was about 6 lbs when we started using these. We tried several different bottles and so many of them made milk leak from her mouth. We bought the 1 flow because she was used to the flow of the nipple the hospital gave us.

my twin babies favorite bottle!
my twin babies love the philip avent natural bottles! as preemies, i had to start with the smaller 4oz bottles. now as my babies are older & eating more, i ordered them the 9oz. its so easy to clean & very easy to assemble. the nipple is amazing for my babies! they literally control the rhythm of their feed! at first it took a few feeds to get used to, but they eventually latched on really well. just always make sure you align the notch on the ring with the vent hole on the nipple & also face the vent hole up (align with their nose) while baby is eating to provide proper milkflow & to reduce air intake. other than that, you cant go wrong with these bottles! p.s. you can also use the nipple from the evenflo balance wide bottles on the philips avent.

THESE BOTTLES NEED TO BE TAKEN OFF THE SHELVES
These bottles should be taken off the market and recalled!!! Tried the 4 oz bottles for my newborn and found that he worked so hard sucking and getting next to nothing to eat. He would take an hour to get 2oz down if he didn’t fall asleep during the feed first. Fast forward to my child’s 2 week appt…he not only lost his birth weight which is normal, but he dropped from 7.10 to 7.4 and hasnt gained anything back. We tried different formula, different nipple flows…nothing worked. We finally bought a different bottle type all together after these bottles essentially were starving my baby and he began to put on weight quickly. Don’t buy these bottles, they should be recalled.

Bottle top does not lock!!!
Bottle top does not lock on glass bottles and leaks. Baby has dropped milk on her clothes several times, very dissatisfied since day one of use and would not recommend. I’ve tried replacing the tops and it is the bottle itself. Waste of money.

Hi there, We are sorry to hear that you are facing leakage issue with your Philips Avent Baby Bottle. We would like to let you know that the incorrect assembly is the reason for leakage in 50% of cases. Make sure the nipple is inserted properly through the screw ring, and it is suitably tightened on the bottle without being over tight. Wet glass bottles are particularly difficult to close since they slip. Hence, it is best advised to dry the bottle before closing it. You may also follow this link for more information about how to avoid leakage: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-d19uSYc23E. If you have any additional questions, please get in touch via Social Media. We’re available on Facebook (@Philips) and X (@PhilipsCare). Don’t worry, if you don’t use Social Media, you can also reach out to us via the contact page: www.Philips.com/contact. These bottles are fantastic 😍
The flow on these bottles are perfect for breast feeding babies. I've tried other brands such as medela and my baby chokes on the flow....but these bottle are perfect. No wasted breast milk is leaked from the sides of my babies mouth. I love these bottles. I just I bought more.

Breastfed baby approved!
Love the ease of cleaning and assembly. My baby has been exclusively breastfed from newborn until the 9 month mark. He has no issues getting milk, as it really is like a mother’s breast in the fact the milk will not flow without the sucking effort. Anyone having an issue with leaking it really sounds like user error. My suggestion for babies frustrated with the flow rate, maybe try sizing up. I’ve seen target sells nipples with a faster flow, you can just swap it out.

Milk constantly doesn’t want to come through.
We have been trying to use these bottles for 2 weeks now, and it is more painful than changing diapers. Our baby will suck for 20 minutes and not a single drop comes out, even with the vents matching up. I wouldn’t recommend these bottles to anyone and have officially thrown our entire sets of these bottles in the trash.

Hi there, Thanks for sharing your feedback with us. This is not the experience we wish you to have with the Philips Avent Natural Response Baby Bottle. We recommend trying a nipple with a higher flow rate, as some babies may be accustomed to bottles where milk flows more easily. However, it's important to note that our natural nipples are designed to mimic the experience of breastfeeding, where babies need to exert some effort to extract milk. If you have any additional questions, please get in touch via Social Media. We’re available on Facebook (@Philips) and X (@PhilipsCare). Awful
Easy to clean, but impossible to feed my baby with these. I tried this bottle multiple times and my son just wouldn't get any milk each time.

Hi there, Thanks for sharing your experience with us. We are sorry to hear that you are having trouble feeding your son with the Philips Avent Natural Response Nipple. This is not the kind of experience we want you to have with our product. Please note that our new Natural Response Nipple lets your baby use their natural drinking rhythm, like they do when breastfeeding. While age is a guide, we recommend watching your little one’s cues to find the best nipple flow. We designed the nipple range to work for all different drinking patterns, from fast and enthusiastic to slow and steady. The Natural Response Nipple is available in nipple flows 1 to 5. The flow rate of milk they get from the nipple is linked to how enthusiastically or steadily they drink as they develop. Slow and steady drinkers are likely to prefer a higher nipple flow (such as nipple4 orr5), to ensure enough milk flows, regardless of age. We hope this is useful to you. If you have any further questions or the problem still persists, please feel free to get in touch via social media. We're available 24/7 on Facebook and X. Alternatively, you can reach out to us via the contact page on our website. One of our colleagues will then try their best to help you further. Hope to speak to you soon! Kind regards, Philips Consumer Care

NOT improved design. pass!!
down hill terrible! used these nipples and bottles for multiple babies in the past few years, initially loved them!.. great that they are the most “compatible” with nursing, never any breast / bottle nipple confusion…BUT recently they redesigned their nipples so that milk is more difficult to actually come out.. which makes it very hard for a baby, especially a newborn!!! shame on philips avent for using a “new and improved” design for a marketing tactic versus embracing the actual needs of babies. also, their new numbering system is wack. it used to be normally numbered based on milk flow, but now my NEWBORN needs a milk flow numbered 3 + versus the slow flow which is what they should need IF these nipples weren’t so terrible. please save your babies the exhaustion of trying to drink milk, but it being too difficult for them! literally like sucking on a pacifier, but actually hungry and trying to get milk… it’s so sad and very frustrating. go with a different bottle and nipple combo. zero stars.

Hi there, Thanks for sharing your feedback with us. We are sorry to hear about your experience with the Philips Avent Natural Response Nipple. This is not the kind of experience we want you to have with us. Please note that we’re always looking for new ways to make bottle-feeding more of a natural experience for you and your baby. From research, we know that milk releases from the breast when a baby applies suction and compression. This allows them to pause whenever they need it and use their natural drinking pattern. So, we made a nipple that works that way too, letting babies use their natural drinking rhythm when bottle feeding. Now all our natural bottles come with the Natural Response nipple to make it easy to combine breast and bottle feeding. Also note that if your baby is already used to the previous Natural Nipple or even another traditional bottle, they may need a higher nipple flow in the Natural Response Nipple because they are used to milk flowing quickly with less effort. Watch for your baby’s cues to check if you need to change the nipple, and let your baby be the guide. If you have any further questions or the problem still persists, please feel free to get in touch via social media. We're available 24/7 on Facebook and X. Alternatively, you can reach out to us via the contact page on our website. One of our colleagues will then try their best to help you further. Hope to speak to you soon! Get These Bottles!!
My newborn LOVES this bottle! We had the nanobebe ones and she got so much air trapped in her little tummy, I was worried she’d start to dislike being bottle fed, she cried so much. It’s like night and day between our old bottles and these. I’m only using these from now on!

Baby can't get milk out of any size nipple.
We've tried several nipple sizes but our baby can't get any milk out of these bottles. We've made sure the notch on the nipple is lined up where it should be. I tried and could barely get any out!!

Hi Bherb, Thank you for contacting us. We are sorry to hear that there is less flow through your Philips Avent nipple. We would like to inform you that we have introduced a new set of nipples, which is our Natural Response Nipple. If your baby is already used to the previous Natural nipple, or even another traditional bottle, they may need a higher nipple flow in the Natural Response Nipple because they are used to milk flowing quickly with less effort. If you’ve tried a few times with no success, it could be a sign that your baby needs another nipple flow. If your baby is coming from a traditional bottle (including our previous Natural bottle range) they are likely to need higher nipple flows with the Natural Response nipple because they are used to more milk coming out of the nipple with little effort on their part. Also, make sure the drinking hole and air valve are not blocked. We designed the nipple range to work for all different drinking patterns, from fast and enthusiastic to slow and steady. The Natural Response Nipple is available in nipple flows 1 to 5. We hope this makes your experience better. If not, please reach out to us via social media. We’re available on Facebook (@Philips) and Twitter (@PhilipsCare). Don’t worry, if you don’t use Social Media, you can also reach out to us via the contact page: www.Philips.com/contact. Loves her bottle
Finally a bottle my baby loves. She is borderline tounge tied so finding a bottle was a challenge. She can do this one with no problem and likes that she can control it.

The cap on this bottle is rediculous!
I do like the bottle. The level 1 nipple in Avent has a faster flow than other brands, but once my baby is old enough, say two-month-olds, he is able to use the Avent level 1 nipple. The bottle is very comfortable to hold. Despite the small size, it can hold a lot of milk, making nighttime feeding a dream, ONLY if I don't put the cap on. My Avent bottle came in a gift bag from Toysrus, so I'm not sure if the bottle is defective or if it is just a design flaw. The cap is unrealistically and ridiculously hard to get off. Sometimes it required two people to open it. It is such a pain to open the bottle if the cap is on. Most of the time, I just put the cap loosely on top to prevent dust without clicking it on. Please Please Please check the design of the cap. It is really so so hard to get off.

Great set of bottles especially for newborns
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was tentative about immediately using bottles on my third child, but with the craziness of having two other kids in school I had to. I've previously used Avent bottles with my other two and had great experiences, but with a 3 day old child it has been such an easy transition from breast to bottle and back. There is no nipple confusion and he immediately took to the nipple. There are no crazy parts to mess with like other brands, and they are simple and easy to use and clean. They also seem to reduce the amount of air my son intakes during feeds, so I'm not seeing any issues with gas or colic. I would definitely recommend this bottle and continue to purchase the larger ounce sizes for my child! I received the product through the Stellar Product Testing Panel.

Best bottles for BF babies
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a first time mom trying to EBF I was struggling as my baby has a tongue & lip tie. He struggled to properly latch leaving us both frustrated and helpless. Finally I gave in and began introducing bottles. I found that many nipples were too quick for him or he disliked the shape. Thankfully I received a set of Avent bottlesas part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. From the very first use my baby was in LOVE and I could finally breathe. This nipple was slow enough and mimicked my breast enough for him to comfortably eat. He was able to pause to swallow and breathe without the nipple leaking causing him to cough and me to stress. My newborn easily adjusted to the size 2 nipple at just two weeks old. I’m he flow was perfect for him! We began with size 1 but found that it was a tad too slow for him. I also loved the convenience of the wide shape in my hand during feedings. It feels very natural and comfortable. The bottle is also very easy to clean! Thankfully it has minimal parts making it quick and painless. I am so thankful for this bottle and nipple!
