Not for the long haul
Worked okay the first couple of times, although it always leaked a little. After about the 6th use, the ring around the core started melting, making it useless. I can't get it near a piece of fabric without transferring black, melted rubber or plastic.

Not great
Unless you have a very small item with just minor wrinkles this isn’t for you. The steam output isn’t powerful like others. I was using on a new dress with those ‘been in a package for 6 months’ wrinkles. On my fourth refill of the tiny water tank I gave up. I had done less than half of the skirt. Returning. Already found a much better one that was less expensive.

Stopped working after a year like all the steamers I’ve bought. I give up.
Every steamer I’ve ever bought fails. This one stopped working after a year. It was good up until then. Be skeptical about reviews. It was probably on first use only.

I got mine for a $35 deal online, and I’m not sure if that’s because it ended up being a used one. (If so, that was a bit deceptive, but oh well.) It’s fine. It works. The cord is long, which I appreciate. My only concern is that the water container is nearly impossible to dry, so I’m worried that mold can grow there if I’m not careful.

Can't decide? Go for it
Can’t decide? I have a full size, wonderful steamer at home but forgot it on my travels. I opted to try the Rowenta after reading reviews. Yes, the water container is small - but I can take off, refill and put back on with one hand in 2 seconds. If your steamer “never worked” then return it and try again. If you have problems with it and have admittedly not read the instructions… well, come on 😆 I’ve tried to make this easy with my photo. Light means heating up, no light means ready to go. It does take longer than my full size, but I don’t mind spending an a couple extra minutes. I used on a linen shirt - brand new, from package. You can imagine how bad it was! I’d say it took about 6 min to finish the entire shirt given I stopped to lookup what the light meant. I do plan to try the Chi steamer yet this trip - if it’s significantly better, I’ll switch but generally I’m happy with this. Lord knows it’s better than ironing!

Ineffective
I was so excited about this but mine has never worked well. Little to no steam and if there is steam, it’s not continuous. I’m not sure if it’s defunct or just the product but it’s ineffective so ordering a different one. Such a bummer because I’d heard great things…
