The unit lets you know it’s ready to cook in two ways: Indicator Light: Once plugged in, the red light on top will turn on to signal that the unit is heating. When it reaches the proper cooking temperature, the light will turn off—this means it’s ready for you to add your batter or dough. Preheating Time: Even if you're not watching the light closely, the preheat usually takes about 2–3 minutes. After that, you're good to go! Overall, not a bad tool. BUT it lacks a clamp when baking!!! This is really a big drawback – minus 1 star! The top lid is too light, and it doesn’t have enough weight to press the waffle tightly during baking. Because of the gap between the top and bottom parts, the handle (which you need to use to open and close the waffle maker) gets hot.Also, in my opinion, it would be better if it could bake several pieces at once. But I understand that the size is small. Using the simplest recipe with 3 eggs, 100 g of sugar, a pinch of salt, 60 g of butter, 60 g of vegetable oil, and 120 g of flour, I got almost 11 waffles. At the same time, I occasionally brushed the slots with sunflower oil just in case. Nothing stuck. For one portion I used literally 2 tablespoons of batter. Each waffle took about 3–4 minutes to bake.My child is happy. I will try other recipes. I want to experiment with making thin crispy waffles and also savory ones with cheese. The waffle size suits me perfectly, since I bought it to make waffles for my child to take to school as a snack.I left a few pieces in a bag on the table overnight. I’m curious to see how they will be the next day. This will determine whether I prepare them in advance or in the morning.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This waffle does what it’s meant to do- cook waffles!! It’s is easy to clean and remove the parts with the clickable buttons. The parts are strong and stay in place when the waffle iron is on. The one tricky thing is that the WHOLE iron gets extremely hot to handle so it’s difficult to open and shut it, and it doesn’t come with its own non scratching tool to remove the waffles. It is also easy to overfill if you aren’t careful, but I love that it comes with its own waffle recipes, and the Snoopy prints are adorable!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Dash multimaker system is so adorable and easy to use, I would love to get the plates in different designs to change it up for my toddler (and myself!). This set comes with 3 designs that are all cute and adorable and perfect for a Peanuts or dog lover. It is so easy to use, the instructions included gave the perfect amount to ensure the perfect waffle, and also included some free recipes. I found this work better with regular waffle mix than the high protein powder mix, the images turn out a bit clearer. The buttons make it so easy to switch between plates and they are nonstick so also very easy to wash. They have to be handwashed but didn’t take too long. The minimaker is smaller than I expected but turned out it’s a great thing. My toddler can only eat 1 waffle but I can have 3 with 1 design each. Overall. A very great addition to our household, makes breakfast so much easier and quicker to prepare.
