The Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge flawlessly blends liquid and cream products with ease for a streak-free, luminous glow. Our best-selling makeup blending sponge offers a natural, dewy finish, and its micro-fine pores help create a seamless base with light to medium coverage. Real Technique’s MCS works best with liquid and cream makeup products such as foundation, skin tints, and illuminators. This makeup sponge has RT's unique 3-point application technique that makes blending products seamless. First use the flat edge of the MCS to pack on product, then the precision tip to conceal, and finally, blend it all out with the rounded side. Use it damp for extra dewiness and let that inner glow shine through. The Miracle Complexion Sponge is easy to clean using our Real Techniques Brush + Sponge Cleansing Gel. It’s also 100% cruelty-free, vegan, and designed with revolutionary latex-free foam technology.

Q: The description reads the brush is approximately 4" high by 2" wide. The product I received is barely 2 5/8" high by 1 1/2" wide. Is the description wrong? Are there different sizes in the orange sponge? Has the product shrunk?

A: The product actually grows when you add water. The size outlined is expanded grow.

It blends foundation seamlessly and leaves my skin looking smooth and airbrushed without absorbing too much product. I love the versatility of the flat edge for contouring and the rounded side for buffing in my base. The texture is soft but firm enough to give control. Easy to clean by putting on makeup brush cleaner and rinsing, super durable and a great bang for your buck. I run under warm water and squeeze out the excess, then use to apply my foundation and concealer!

However, now that I am retrying it after using other makeup sponges, I think it's just okay. The shape is great for applying products to different parts of the face with ease. It blends makeup as any other sponge would, but it soaks up a lot of product. This causes me to use a lot more foundation or concealer than I would typically use. While this sponge is fine, I just have other sponges that don't soak up nearly as much of my makeup.

I’ve been using the Miracle Sponge from Real Techniques for a while now, and I have to say it truly lives up to the hype. Compared to other sponges I’ve tried, this one strikes the perfect balance: it’s soft, flexible, and expands nicely when damp. It blends foundation and concealer seamlessly, leaving a smooth finish. One of the things I love most is its versatility. The rounded side works great for larger areas like the cheeks and forehead, while the flat edge is perfect for pressing product into the skin, especially around the nose and under the eyes. It also holds up well after multiple washes, which is something I can’t say for every sponge out there. That said, like any sponge, it does absorb some product—though not as much as cheaper alternatives. And yes, keeping it clean is essential to avoid bacteria buildup. But with proper care, this sponge performs beautifully. Overall, the Miracle Sponge is absolutely worth it. Affordable, durable, and effective. it’s become a staple in my routine.

They are perfect for blending liquid and cream makeup. I will definitely re-purchase in the future. The different shaped sides are so useful for different makeup or for getting smaller spots.

I think they handle and blend my makeup very nicely. The only thing I wish was a little bit better was their firmness. I personally like it when my sponges get softer and these just are a bit too firm for me, even after they are fully wetted. I do recommend these though because they are great sponges!
