I love this product I’m never going back to tampons or pads ever again this is literally like life changing. Just a warning it is messy and different than tampons but you can wear it up to 12 hours and during nighttime so that’s awesome!

This is a great alternative to tampons and pads; you can leave it in longer, there are no leaks, and it doesn’t feel like you’re on your period. I swear I have experienced less period symptoms since switching from chemical products to this disc. I have not touched a pad or tampon since trying the disc. I love that I am no longer spending money on more products and always sleeping comfortably throughout the night. The idea of the placement can be intimidating, but- you got this! Try it! You’ll never go back!!

The regular size works well for me! It was a little awkward getting it in the first time, but taking it out was a breeze. I will definitely be using it again!
Intuitive, comfortable, great alternative

I had a cup for a while and ruined it once while sanitizing on the stove. I purchased this then waited a while to try because I still hat a good combination of other period items. I'm really glad I finally tried it this cycle though. It was significantly easier than a cup to use in my opinion and easily settle right into place. I still wear with a light peiord underwear, but was impressed with how well it held. I wish I would have tried it sooner. This might be one of my favorite period products. Sounds like it may not be for everyone. I think if you've tried a cup and found it not quite right, you might find the disc to be a better fit.
Only disc that works for me!

I’m in perimenopause, so my cycle has become extremely heavy. I’m also a teacher and typically have to go all day without being able to go to the restroom, so heavy periods aren’t doable with other menstrual products. This disc has been a life saver. I went through many discs before I found one that didn’t leak for me. All the disc I tried before this Salt disc looked the same size and shape, but for some reason only this one worked. It’s definitely something you get better at figuring out over time too.
Great disc, needs a stem

It fits well, and it’s comfortable. I really wish it had a stem to pull it out, like the Lumma disc. Because it fits so well, it is so difficult for me to get it out. The notch to help pull it down doesn’t give me enough leverage, and I have to just stick my finger up into the rim and pull down, which is messy and hard to do, since I have a very high cervix. If customers don’t like the stem, they have the option of cutting it. I find myself wanting to use this disc, but choosing the Lumma instead, even though it’s not as comfortable because it is such a nightmare and takes so long for me to remove this Saalt disc. I hope a stem is on the future. Keep the material, size, firmness, everything, but please add a stem!!

This disc does not leak and protects longer than traditional cups, tampons or pads. I wish I had known about this product sooner. I am a petite person (4'11") and got the smaller disc. It is comfortable, easy to insert and remove. I had no leaks and did not have to change as frequently as my Flex cup. I was introduced to the disc via a disposable sample from my Flex cup. The sample was just a tad too big and led me to a search that came to the SAALT disc. I love it. Definitel recommend. I also like that it has a little mold for your finger to pull it out. You do have to bear down like you're about to poop to help push it out a bit but other than that, I did not have problems using it.
Amazing!

A friend recommended this to me a couple years ago and I haven’t gone back to using anything else since. It takes maybe one or two cycles to get the hang of it (googling tips and how to “auto dump” were very helpful) but now I recommend it to all the women I know. The ones who have tried it all agree it’s magical!

I love this disc. Basically you forget it’s there when input correctly. I will say, watch the video on how to insert to avoid leaks your first time. I recommend this to my friends all the time
Buy flex brand instead

I bought both saalt’s menstrual disc and flex’s. The flex disc was comfortable and unnoticeable. I was extremely excited to find something that would work so well for my heavy periods. However, the saalt disc immediately started causing cramping once it was in position. It was hard to put in to begin with. I only lasted ten minutes before the cramping became too much. I highly recommend buying the flex brand over this one. This one was not flexible and does not mold to your body’s natural shape

Hi there! We're sorry you had a bad experience with your Saalt Disc. Our discs are designed to be comfortable and can actually help with cramping by reducing cervical pressure! It sounds like you may have inserted the disc incorrectly. We recommend making sure it is covering your cervix by inserting a finger underneath the basin. When you insert your disc angle the disc down and back towards your tailbone to match the angle of your vaginal canal. If discomfort persists, we recommend trying our smaller size disc! Please reach out to sayhey@saalt.com and our Saalt coaches can help you out with your disc!
Perfect!

3 stars because it does the job, but not much else. I had a menstrual cup for 7 years and it was time to throw it out and go for a disc thanks to my IUD. I tried the disposable Flex Discs first and loved them, but the Saalt Reusable Disc was supposed to be the longest-lasting one for when I upgraded. The little pull tab is a joke. I have to insert the disc sideways because it's easier to just pop a finger over the rim and pull it out that way. The finger tab actually makes it much harder to remove. Otherwise, it was good enough, until last month. Suddenly, that thing stinks. And I'm used to reusable product care, so I tried to do an extra thorough cleaning, then I used boiling water. When I tell you this disc suddenly smells GOD AWFUL, I mean it. I'm not squeamish and it makes me want to throw up to even be within a couple feet of it. There's no way that thing is going back in my body, which is in perfect health, btw. No odors except what's coming from the disc. It's too bad this is outside of their warranty period, because I think one year is actually really generous. But I wasn't going to buy another Saalt product, anyway, and I don't think you should buy this one if you want an actual long-term product.

Definitely not for the faint of heart. Used it twice so far. My finger is currently numb from trying to get the cup out. I know the technique looks simple but it is a challenge, requires patience and practice. I’m hoping it gets easier. I’m concerned that since my periods are short and I’ll only get the chance to use it three or so times that it’ll take a really long time to get the hang of the right posture and position to get the cup out easily. I don’t leak too much when it’s in except if I bear down to sneeze or cough. So I’ve been wearing a pad to catch any leakage. I really do try not to panic when I can’t get a good grip on it. So far it’s been taking me about 20-25 mins to get it out. And I’ve been sitting on the inside edge of my tub to help me get a good posture. I think the support on my tailbone and helping me to tilt my pelvic helps. Still testing that theory.

Seal broken, had to return. The disc was missing, but imagine if someone tried it and returned it! This is a medical device I paid for with my HSA. Why would Target ship me a damaged, used item? What it I contracted a disease? Please develop better seals and QC Saalt and Target!

I like this much more than the suction cups even though it is a little more difficult to remove. No leaks and I couldn’t feel it. The material is smooth and no pain inserting. I couldn’t be happier with the cup. All of the companies promises in the description/packaging were validated for me.

It took a little getting used to in order to make sure it was in place correctly and make sure I had no leaks but after a couple of days I had no isses and am disappointed that I didn't buy one sooner! I tried a different companies cup and found it uncomfortable and had trouble with it staying it, this disc is incredible. It stays in place and I can genuinely leave it in for 12 hrs! It stays put. I have used disposable discs in the past... nothing like this. The only downfall is removal can be a little messy but the finger notch really makes all the difference, and since it only needs emptied morning and night you dont have to worry about doing it in an awkward bathroom someplace.

HONEST REVIEW: so i had heard about the discs before and was always so skeptical about them and didn’t feel comfortable enough to spend the money and try it. i was in a bit of pinch this month, had a date, knew i was going to be on my period, and was looking for any way to make it work and not have to worry about changing a tampon ever few hours. i spent a few hours going back and forth on which one to buy and ended up going with this one bc of the little finger pull. getting it in the first time was def a learning curve. is it in all the way? did i do it right? am i going to leak? after a little trial and error i was able to pick it up pretty easy. fast forward to the day of the date. being able to go like 8 hours and not even think about it was GREAT. and i can confirm the event was 100% mess free. i was SHOCKED. truly i couldn’t figure out how everything fit in there… but my partner said he couldn’t feel it at all and i didn’t feel any discomfort on my end! i’m still not great at taking it out yet, i inevitably make a mess with it. i also haven’t figured out the best way to empty it in a public restroom. at a house it’s easy. the sink is right there. but in public you’re limited to what’s in the stall with you. overall i am glad i bought this and is a game changer.
