Q: Do these work well for women with a low cervix?

submitted by Huggs - 4 years ago
  • A: It's always worth a try. No single disc or cup will fit every single woman. It worked for a stage one prolapsed uterus, it just reduced capacity due to the cervix resting in the disc more.

submitted byscreen name - 2 years ago
  • A: There's a great chance the discs could work for you! We worked hard to be as inclusive as possible––they were designed to fit 95% of anatomies. :)

Q: Are these reusable or one time use only?

submitted by Kadiekins - 5 years ago
  • A: These are for one time use only, you throw them away afterwards!

submitted byhannalizzy - 5 years ago
  • A: You're SUPPOSED to throw them away every time but I'll usually rinse one and use it again. I haven't used one more than twice, though.

submitted byAri - 3 years ago
  • A: Flex Discs are disposable, not reusable. After 12 hours of wear, you remove the disc, dispose of it, then insert a new one.

  • A: One time use, they're discarded afterwards. They can be work up to 12 hours though.

Q: Can you have intercourse while wearing these and is your partner able to feel it?

submitted by Anonymous - 3 years ago
  • A: Yes, you absolutely can have intercourse while wearing the Flex Discs. If the disc is inserted properly, neither you nor your partner should be able to feel it. If you ever have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to our Flexperts at hello@flexfits.com. We're here to help!

Q: Hi, What is different between FLEX menstrual discs and Cervical Cap?

submitted by Cervical Cap - 4 years ago
  • A: The main difference is the purpose of the products. FLEX Disc is a menstrual product made to catch period blood. FLEX Disc is not a contraceptive device and does not protect against STI's or pregnancy. Please only use FLEX Disc as directed! A Cervical Cap is a contraceptive device.

Q: I took the test to see which flex I should get. My results STYAED I need medium. which one is medium?

submitted by karen - 2 years ago
  • A: Hey Karen! Thank you for your question and I'm sorry for the confusion! On our website the Light, Medium, and Heavy plans you see refer to the number of discs you receive, not the size of the discs. The Flex Disc is made to fit 95% of people. When in store you will want to buy depending on how many days your typical cycle will run. An example: If you have a 4 day cycle and you need to change the disc every 12 hours, you will most likely need 8 Flex Discs for your cycle. If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact our Flexperts at hello@flexfits.com. They would be happy to answer any and all questions you might have

Q: Are you able to wear flex discs in a hot tub?

submitted by Kiki D - 3 years ago
  • A: Because the disc does not sit inside of the vaginal canal, it’s free of obstruction. This makes the disc extremely comfortable and allows you to do whatever you gotta do- including enjoying a dip in the hot tub!

Q: Can teens use this or is if only adults?

submitted by Erebellah - 4 years ago
  • A: Great Question! Anyone who menstruates can use our products. However, they may not be the best for teens who are on the smaller side for their age group. Something to keep in mind is that our products are inserted without the use of an applicator so there may be a bit of a learning curve for younger teens. If you are unsure we recommend discussing with a trusted doctor.

Q: How do you use this product?

submitted by JD2016 - 4 years ago
  • A: Hi there! To insert FLEX Discs, you'll pinch the disc and push it down and back into the vaginal fornix. The discs collect period blood at the base of the cervix. They can be worn for 12hrs. Once 12hrs are up, you'd remove the disc and dispose of it in the waste bin. If you have any additional questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to our FLEXperts at hello@flexfits.com

It’s hypoallergenic, BPA & phthalate-free, silicone-free and made without natural rubber latex. If you have any other questions, feel free to reach out to one of our FLEXperts at hello@flexfits.com.

I love these!! I have a heavy flow and am constantly bleeding through super tampons and liners. With this, I have not had a bad leak. I’ll occasionally have some spotting on the liners so I definitely recommend using a liner still, but this holds so much more! It was a bit confusing using it the first time, but you get the hang of it quickly. I also love that you can wear for 12 hours so I don’t have to change it as often and can sleep with it in too.

I have all the products and I know I’m getting the disc in correct place but for whatever reason, it always leaks. I love not wearing tampons though! But between the disc and the cup, I would rather use the cup.

This is the most comfortable period I've ever had (about 15 years). I can't feel the disc at all, and I'm not panicking worrying about leaking. I also normally have severe cramping and don't want to move, I now barely cramp at all! Never using tampons again.

I have a heavy flow (normally use overnight pads and change them every 2 hours on my heavy days) and have used a different brand's reusable menstrual disc in the past. The menstrual disc's are nice because they hold more volume and I'm able to go longer periods of time before changing. The Flex disposable discs are waaay more comfortable than the reusable one I have, as well as for my partner for mess-free intimate times. Absolutely life changing, I wish I had these in my 20s.

Period sex???!!!!

I bought these as I had a fun night planned with a guy and my period snuck up on me. I was super disappointed, but I came across these and decided to give them a try. Proper insertion took a couple of times to master. I was a bit unsure as I have read mixed reviews. I gave him a heads up that I was trialing it and we went at it and put a towel down just in case. No mess. Not one drop. And flow was kinda heavy-ish. Super impressed with that aspect. Downsides: he could feel it. It wasn't particularly bothersome to him, but he said it was a bit distracting, but he still had a good time. Also, it made me feel like I had to pee constantly during sex knowing that I really didn't have to. That all being said, I will totally use these again for mess free sexy time and may use them instead of tampons when I am at work because of the convenience.

Game Changer

5 out of 5 stars

I have been using Flex Disposable Discs for several years. I have been so happy with the product that I actually went to the 1 and 2-star reviews to see what anyone could possibly be unhappy about. I guess I am lucky enough to have a compatible anatomy, and I am so thankful.I have always had unpredictable, heavy, painful periods. Tampons can never keep up and are terrible for the body and the environment. When I discovered Flex it was a total game changer. It took a few months to become comfortable with insertion and keeping it in place. Strong Kegal muscles seemed to help, as placement and stability became easier as I toned those muscles. I have had the occasional leak early on, but as long as I use the bathroom to empty it a couple of times a day, even on my heaviest days I never have a problem. Since I had an IUD inserted several months ago my flow has diminished significantly. But the first few months involved nearly continual spotting and discharge. The discs were great for round-the-clock protection and I didn't have to feel concerned about the health risks of constant tampon use or the discomfort of pads.A few minor downsides: It didn't help with cramps or other PMDD symptoms (but the gummies sure helped with those!). Removing it can get messy, even with the removal pouches, so I try to remove it when I am showering. I don't usually wear it during sex because my husband is very sensitive and can feel it whenever we don't use a condom. I was thrilled when the plant-based disc became available and immediately switched. The rim feels softer and a little more pliable than the original.

I found this product when I needed a way to deal with an ongoing medical situation (uterine polyps) that was causing smorwhar consistent bleeding for almost a year. I was visiting my boyfriend and didn’t know how to handle wanting to be intimate but knowing about my situation was making me nervous. I searched online and found this company and so glad I did! I have to say that the travel discs saved an entire week’s trip. It never leaked and made that time so much more special and relaxed. It is all about how you insert it. And the reusable disc didn’t work for me. Maybe the thickness or size is different? I will never go anywhere without these again. Amazing!

Honest review— it has been life changing because I don’t need to be constantly changing my pads. It really holds the blood for hours I really do not know how. BUT, for my girls that usually have a heavier flow the first 3 days of their cycle you HAVE to wear a panty liner. It does leak a little bit. After your heavy days are over then yes you don’t need to wear a panty liner. It can get messy when removing and replacing a disc but that is expected.

It takes awhile to figure out. I wrote a bad review out of frustration. I was not happy with this product before but then I ran out of tampons. I still had flex disc's so I inserted one during my shower. I get a lot of clots during my period. Well after using the disc for awhile I do not have that issue anymore! I still hate inserting it, gross. I hate removing it, gross. I hate that it leaks, gross, so I still wear a pad with it. I don't mind pads though so it's OK. I got a box of medical gloves and use those to remove it. Thought about using my crochet hook but I wouldn't feel right about using that again. I wish there was an applicator and remover, even if those had to be reusable. I just wish I could get it to stop leaking. But my lower back pain only comes when wearing tampons, no back pain with disc's. Also not having clots with the disc is worth the leaks.

These are an amazing solution to not worry about having to change pads or tampons mid day while out of the house. Even with a heavier flow it really does what it says it does and empties when on the toilet.

Thank you Flex Disc from a Postpartum Mommy

I've had the flex disc for a few years now. I first purchased it when I was heading on vacation and Aunt Flow decided to pay a visit. I loved how comfortable it was and it didn't hinder me from doing any of the activities I had on my list. I've sinc recommended it to friends and family, one of which tried the flex disc for the first time on her wedding day. It saved the day, and her dress! Fast forward a few years later and I just gave birth to my first baby. One would hope that you our bodies could bounce back without any major issues but I developed postpartum prolapse. Yikes. It's incredibly uncomfortable and I'm on a long recovery road, but here comes the flex disc to offer relief again! I know it's not intended for this purpose but using the flex disc for some additional internal support has been life changing! Seriously, for the first time in months I was able to take a walk without pain and discomfort. I can't express my gratitude for this product and I really just wanted to express it. So from a postpartum mommy with a lot going on, thank you so much!

Tampons and pads irritate flare up my autoimmune disease, so I was looking for an alternative. Prior to the birth of my daughter, I tried the flex disc and it did not fit. It kept falling out throughout the day, leaking, and I felt a lot of pressure. I’d use overnight only. I was going to write off (and give 2 stars) BUT when my period returned after the birth of my daughter I had some leftover in the box and tried one out and IT FIT and works miraculously. So much easier, more comfortable with less worry than tampons. Can’t recommend enough.

I have used period panties for the last four years and I love them, but I was looking for a product that allowed me to have mess-free sex on my period when I came across Flex. I was somewhat skeptical because it mentions it may leak, but I used it and had sex several times with no leakage. I do have to say I have very light flow, so the experience may be different for other women. It takes some time to get used to it inside, but it is not uncomfortable. I am going to use it every month now when I want to have sex on those days.

It does take some time to get used to but once you understand how to use it HOLY SMOKES. First off your panties will thank you. 0 stains and using the bathroom is so much better. Honestly I just pop one in before work and I'm solid my whole shift. Plus it reduces cramps.

Ok was nervous at first. But SO AMAZING.. Was honestly very scared to have period sex with it, but literally he said he couldn’t feel it and nothing bled or leaked or broke. For the women, it feels like there’s nothing there... maybe better than a diva cup, minus it’s disposable. It’s so easy to put in and take out. Recommend.

Messy

2 out of 5 stars

originally posted on flexfits.com
It’s so messy. Every time I insert it and especially removing it, my fingers get covered in blood. You really have dig up inside of yourself to get it out.. Every time I sit to pee it empties, thankfully into the toilet and not all in clothes like has happened to so many others, but then I spending forever wiping until I’m clean again. The claim people are making that it shouldn’t be messy and that it’s user error if it is makes zero sense. It’s nice not having to change it as often as tampons but tampons are cleaner and quicker to change, which makes them superior. It’s unfortunate, but this is not a good product.
