A: The main difference is the purpose of the products. FLEX Disc is a menstrual product made to catch period blood. FLEX Disc is not a contraceptive device and does not protect against STI's or pregnancy. Please only use FLEX Disc as directed! A Cervical Cap is a contraceptive device.

A: Hi TP, thanks for your question. We totally understand that accidents happen. Our products are made of an inert material that should not cause or contribute to any infections, however, we do strongly advise against wearing them for longer than 12 hours.If you've worn it for longer than 12hrs and are concerned, then we recommend scheduling an appointment with your gynecologist. You know your body best, but if something feels off or you begin to experience any unusual symptoms (foul odor, abnormal discharge, discomfort, etc.) then it is best you consult with your doctor right away to rule out infection. In the future, you can also always set an alarm or reminder on your phone. Let us know if you have any other questions or concerns.

A: Hey there, thanks for your question! The Disc can self-empty on the toilet, but only if you want it to! When you're not in the bathroom, since you don't bear down like you would to pee/poo while doing daily activities, the vaginal/pelvic floor muscles used to empty the disc are not active. On our website the Light, Medium, and Heavy plans you see refer to the number of discs you receive, not the size of the discs. The Flex Disc is made to fit 95% of people. When in store you will want to buy depending on how many days your typical cycle will run. An example: If you have a 4 day cycle and you need to change the disc every 12 hours, you will most likely need 8 Flex Discs for your cycle. I wanted to love it, I actually thought it did but when it came time to taking it out i could barely reach it. After a few minutes of stress, and anxiety I had my husband help me since he had longer fingers. Maybe I put it in wrong? I an afraid to try it again.

I never do reviews, but this deserves one! I just started using it yesterday and I love it! I am very sensitive and it does not hurt or bother me at all, I don’t feel a thing! I slept in it and had no leakage, it truly does self empty, and it’s just overall amazing! 🙌🏼 Learning how to remove it is the trickiest part for me, but I still managed just fine.

I have been using these for several years now. Although I would not recommend these for heavy or regular days (they get too heavy and leak in my experience), they are INCREDIBLE for light days after your initial heavy days, if this sounds similar to your menstrual pattern. Makes it feel like my period is not even there the days I wear them!!

I’ve used the soft discs for years now and swear by them… but they were out of stock so I had to grab these. Upon unboxing they seemed like the same product, but they feel really different. I bled through several times (which has NEVER happened with the other discs- my periods are light and these usually give 12+ hour protection worries free). They’re more expensive too, I just don’t see an upside.

I wanted to like these. I really did. But honestly, they’re a nightmare. I used a pad (thankfully) because I expected SOME leaking. But I leaked so much on my pad as if the flex disc was doing nothing. Removal and insertion is MESSY. I stopped using it halfway through period and had to go back to tampons. It was that bad. 0/10 do not recommend.
I wish more girlies knew these EXIST!

I absolutely love this! It feels like I'm wearing nothing at all, and my cramps are gone! It does take a little time to get used to, but you won't regret it afterward. Even intimacy while using it is just as amazing! I've worn it for almost ten hours, and it held up like a champ! It does create quite a mess when you dispose of it, but it's worth it no matter what. I wish I had found these earlier, but it's better to try them now than not at all!

I really wanted to love these and all the positive reviews were encouraging! But after trying them for three cycles, I’ve decided they just aren’t for me and I’ll be sticking with tampons. Inserting them is no problem at all and you can’t feel it when it’s in, but I can’t seem to get them to not leak and I have the hardest time removing them- I’ve nearly had a panic attack a couple of times thinking it was too stuck and I’d have to have a doctor remove it lol. Ironically, I also had longer & more uncomfortable periods the months I used the discs. Oh well. I wouldn’t have known unless I tried! I’ll probably pass along the rest of the unused disposable ones I have to someone else who likes them or wants to give a menstrual disc a try :)

The past couple months tampons started causing me a ton of itching and discomfort. I finally got desperate enough to try these despite being scared and a little weirded out by them. Not only will I never go back, but I also plan to buy the reusable disc, which I NEVER thought I would say. You truly can't tell these are in, and they work so much better than tampons. They are easier to put in than a tampon for me (I always used the tampons without applicators so it was a struggle getting it in the right place) and are so much more comfortable. I love that it's something I only have to think about right when I wake up and before I go to bed. Getting them out takes a little more effort than pulling a string, but I've had no issues. I never write reviews but I've been raving about these to all of my friends so I felt like I owed it to this product to share here too.

I tried Flex multiple times, but it always seems to just not quite fit right, just a little too large. I am 5 ft tall so makes sense that I just don’t have the extra cm for it to fit against my pubic bone correctly. Wish they’d make multiple sizes since women aren’t all the same, but until then I won’t be using them again. Even when it seemed like it was in correctly it would pop out at some point and leak. I’m giving 2 stars instead of 1 just because it is comfortable to wear compared to cups and tampons, it would be great if only it worked as advertised or if they considered that they clearly aren’t one size fits all clearly evident by the many reviews similar to mine.

The disc is the greatest thing ever created for periods. I used tampons regularly but had extremely heavy periods to the point where I was bleeding through super plus tampons in 2 hours, which prompted me to look for different alternatives. I tried menstrual cups and they were really difficult for me to insert. The disc (both disposable and reusable) is so easy to insert and genuinely does ease my cramps (how?!). The first couple of days of my period, I wear a tiny pad with it to supplement for mild leakage, but in comparison to the blow out of tampons I was experiencing, this is AMAZING. I seriously only experience small amounts of leakage during my first couple days (even with leaving it in for 12 hours at a time) and then the rest of my period is as if there isn't one. I would recommend this to anyone and have been telling every one of my friends to get it!

As one who relies heavily on reviews I felt obligated to write my honest review. It took me two cycles to get this thing. You have to have patience, watch the video and keep trying. Once you figure the placement out you are golden and it will truly change your life. It’s true, cramps dissipate. I am 40 and I have suffered from cramps my entire life. I do not have cramps when I use the disc. There’s zero odor. I have had sex; although it weirds my husband out... it’s possible and if you’re desperate, it can absolutely be done. I cannot use one on Day 1 because my period is so heavy after two kids... I have tried many times and I still leak. I use a tampon the first day and disc every day after that— aside from dumb perimenopausal side effects (ugh) it’s like you are not even on your period. I’ll be a customer for the rest of my life. Give it a try. It’s worth it!!

I love these discs so much. I’m just a random gal writing this - not getting paid, not getting sponsored, not getting free things, etc. These are seriously just so good. Takes a minute to get the hang of at first and yes can be a lil messy, but sooooo easy and so convenient and if inserted correctly you can’t feel it AT ALL. If it gets full all you have to do is bear down a bit and it self empties and then just push it back in or kegel that girlie back in place. Same with going #2, if it moves just push it back or kegel it back. I have heavy bleeding the first 3 days of my period and I can usually go 8-10 hours before I have to self empty and/or change it out. I love these discs and recommend them to everyone I know who has a period. ✨

I'm mad at myself for not buying Flex earlier... I LOVE it! I have the reusable silicone one.It took me about 10-15 minutes of watching the tutorials and reading the instructions to understand how to insert it properly, but now it's a breeze and I love that it empties when I pee. I usually take it out in the morning and evening in the shower, give it a quick wash and slip it back in. During the day I forget it's even there! Tampons were uncomfortable for me and I hated the waste they created. I especially got freaked out after seeing that tampons contain heavy metals and other toxins. I tell all of my friends how happy I am that I started using Flex disc and I'm never ever going back to tampons!

The flex disc is an absolute game changer! For years I’ve always struggled with my period because of the products like tampons and pads. They were always uncomfortable and seemed to cause more problems than fix them. I was a bit hesitant about the flex disc and how to get it in correctly. It is a bit of a learning curve for the first time, but once you figure it out, it works great! Just be patient, or even have a trusted person to help you out. (My wife helped me get mine in the first time)Regardless, I cannot recommend this product more! You have saved my life, flex disc! Thank you!

Not exaggerating at all, this product has changed my life. Pads feel gross to me so tampons have been my go to. But I decided to branch out and try these after seeing some ads. I have always had horrific period cramps and turns out it was the tampons all along. These discs are so comfortable, and I have not had any cramps since. No tampon string is amazing too. Obviously insertion/removal is a little gory, but the benefits outweigh this part tenfold. Just try it!

I’ve always struggled with tampons. I find them all uncomfortable no matter the size or brand. These are amazing. It takes a few times to get the hang of getting them in and removing them but wow, you totally forget you’re wearing anything! Which could be dangerous so don’t actually forget haha. Highly recommend
