Need different sizes!!
I so badly wanted to love flex discs, but I just couldn’t. Flex discs only come in a single size and that size was just too big for me. No matter what I did, the disc was just too big and would always come out of place and leak. I also really don’t like that their insertion guide youtube video says that it’ll fit anyone of any size because no, it won’t. At first I was worried that it was just an issue of my own anatomy not being great for a menstrual disc, but I have since switched to using another brand with a smaller size and the disc works great.

Work well for heavy periods
If you have a heavier period these work great. I like these better than cups. I’ve repurchased these many times

It's a no for me
It didn't fit me it was way to big and painful pushing it in. Pulled it out the in the trash. Maybe if they had different sizes as no one women are built the same.

Hi Priscilla - Thank you for your review. So sorry that was your initial experience! The Flex Cup could be a great alternative if the Flex Disc feels too big. It's smaller in diameter although it does sit lower in the vaginal canal, with a pull-tab for easier removal. This could be a more comfortable and manageable option for your flow. It’s designed to work well for various cervix heights, and it’s just as life-changing as the disc for many users. Reach out to us at help@flexfits.com if you’d like tips on transitioning!

Still need pads
Good luck sleeping with it, every time I have it a try I stained everything. You'll have to use pads still over night. They won't last without staining unless you have a light period.

Not as good as reusable Flex, but it works
I purchased this product due to an infection I was having so that I didn’t contaminate my reusable flex. Product worked great! A little less comfortable to insert and remove and I had one leak on my heaviest day. Overall a good product!

literally zero feel and super easy to use
i didn’t really believe it when the product advertising said it would be zero feel especially when the product looks so big, but it actually CANNOT feel it once it’s inside, it’s awesome. haven’t had any leaking so far and it’s easier to insert than you expect, easier than a tampon or pad in my option. i would 100% recommend this product, even if you have really light periods. its easy to reuse and ill probably never have to buy another pad tampon of flex disc again. love this product to death

REALLY MESS-FREE during sex
I've been using these for the last three months and I was already very happy. It wasn't until my last period that I got to test them during sex, I was skeptical but I ended up super impressed, they are really mess-free! It was super comfortable as well, as if wasn't on my period at all. You can tell these were designed by a woman, amazing, thank you!

Genuinely surprised and won’t go back
Got these with the expectation I’d have “mostly” mess free period sex, used them on day 1 and 2 with zero mess at all, almost spooky! I typically use a cup but now I am interested in trying the reusable disc! Will keep the single use one with me though. Id give it 10/10 for sex, 10/10 comfort 9/10 for insertion (much easier than cup, no learning curve really), 6/10 for removal only since it was my first times and I couldn’t figure out how to not spill blood everywhere lol and it felt like it was so far up!! Still worth it, just will figure out a technique that works best for me :)

I’ve used various types of menstrual products and found this to be highly unreliable. I’ve had malfunctions in extremely public settings. I suggest using the Cora disc instead.

Perfect
I use this for overnights and genuinely super suprised at how easy it was to put in. love that i dont have to wakeup to change it. I will say I tried a menstural cup and it was wayyy to hard to put in but this was easy and breezy.

A comfortable period
Game changer. I have tried cups, tampons and pads, and for me they each have their drawbacks. To me this product is going to be most user friendly to those who have tried cups and found them to be uncomfortable, or found that they don’t fit exactly right. These are very different. Because the “reservoir” is totally flexible you cannot feel the product inside of you at all. It is the same concept as a cup but a totally different (and improved) user experience. Yes, it can be messy upon removal but you truly only need to change it every 12 hours, so hopefully you can be in the comfort of your own home when it comes time. The option to “empty” it HANDS FREE throughout the day is the best part for those who tend to fill up a regular cup or tampon frequently. If you’re curious I think you should give this product a try, I feel like it could be life changing for some as it has been for me.

Great innovation - wish for more options
I want to love this product sooo badly! And I do, but only for some reasons - I love the peace of mind you get when wearing for a long time, unlike a tampon. I think that alone is doing amazing strides for period health. However, after using these every period for months - I wish they came in sizes. Not one size fits all. Mine never stays put in the proper place, especially if I am moving around during the day. I have read every instruction and watched every tutorial and can assure you I am inserting correctly; however it still pushes itself back out somehow. My only conclusion is that they’re too big. It causes a lot of mess when randomly coming undone, and some discomfort - resulting in me only using Flex disc at bed time where I can be more still. Even then, I’ve woken up and had to run to the bathroom as it was not in the proper place. This would be a 10/10 for me if you could develop disposable sizes! Anyone else agree?

So easy!
Super easy to use! Just make sure you push it all the way up, inserts just like a tampon. My preference is to take it out in the shower (easy clean up!) I stick to the 12hr mark. It does have this “self empty” trick when you go to the bathroom. I was so worried it would “self empty” since I work an office job and sit most of the day, I had very minimal spotting/leaking. I’ve gone to the beach, hiking and camping with these. Truly life saver! No cramps! No smell!

TSS Risk
I am in the emergency room due to possible Toxic Shock Syndrome from forgetting this was inside me. There's no string to remind you to remove it.
1 reply from The Flex Company team - 3 months ago
Hi there. We're so sorry to hear about your experience. Flex products have not been linked to TSS (Toxic Shock Syndrome). Unlike tampons, Flex menstrual discs and cups collect your period, rather than absorbing it. They’re made with medical-grade, biologically inert (non-porous) materials that do not host toxic bacteria or disrupt your vaginal pH. Flex products are FDA-registered medical devices and are approved for up to 12 hours of wear. They should not be worn for longer than 12 hours without changing, and they must be thrown away after wear - they cannot be washed and reworn. A helpful tip we share with our customers that may have a difficult time remembering to change their disc is to set a 12-hour alarm on their phone after insertion! That said, we take all complaints of this nature incredibly seriously, so if you can you please email us at help@flexfits.com so that we can get more information from you we would appreciate it! Talk soon.

WHERE HAVE THESE BEEN ALL MY LIFE??!
Seriously-- I want to shout this from the rooftops, I want every menstruating woman I know to know just how much better these things make life!! Literally, life changing. I hate tampons-- they dry me out, they shift around, I HATE the string, the list goes on. I've tried other cups and have found them to be uncomfortable, equally as shifty as tampons, leaky, and messy to remove and reinsert. Not these babies!! SO easy to insert, easy (and NOT messy, how???!!!) to remove, and I don't know by what sorcery they are helping with my cramps but so far I'm on ZERO period-related medications (I'm usually 2-3 doses of ibuprofen/acetaminophen in by now!). THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!! Upgrading to the reusable disc and stashing disposable disks in my toiletry bag/gym bag/first aid kit/etc. immediately.

Where has this been all my life!?!
I never write reviews but I have to say this is one of the best purchases I’ve made. Since getting a copper IUD I’ve been desperate to find a period product that could handle the flow and lessen cramping. I could always feel the DivaCup, and tampons started to get too painful/uncomfortable so I decided to look into the Flex Disc. WOW. When they say you can’t feel a thing they are not lying!!! It’s easy to insert, lasts all day, and my cramping has gotten 90% better...seriously! I’m only disappointed I didn’t try this years ago. Definitely going to look into getting the reusable one next! Highly recommend.

Only able to use for sleep
I had high hopes when purchasing Flexdisc because I deal with a heavy flow, to the point where I need to change the highest absorbency tampons within just a few hours. Unfortunately, it seems my anatomy is also against me with this product, because I am very limited in what I can do with it in without it leaking. Just sitting wrong will cause an issue, so I can’t risk going out in the car or in public with one in. I also have very uncomfortable pressure when it is in place. I still give it 3 stars because I am able to effectively use it for is going to bed at night, since it won’t leak with my body laying flat. With this, I don’t have to wake up and change my tampon every 3 hours.
