These were a pain to install. Not renter friendly. Expensive.

Works great! Easy to install. You do have to let it set overnight, or it will peel quickly. We like this design because you don’t need a magnet.

I love these! My in-laws have the magnetic cabinet locks and having to track down the magnetic “key” every single time you want to open a cabinet drove me crazy. These are so much simpler to use and just as effective at keeping little hands out. Installation was super easy — I only used the adhesive (it does come with screws if you prefer) and it’s amazingly strong. It’s been holding perfectly on my kitchen cabinets, bathroom cabinets, and even our built-ins in the living room. My favorite part is you can turn the lock around to “disarm” it if you need quick access while cooking or cleaning. That flexibility is a game-changer. Highly recommend — strong, easy, and no extra key to fuss with!

We have an awkward shaped living room, which means we had to get a corner entertainment center. Of course this made it hard to find a baby proofing system that actually worked and it was impossible to drill screws into the material. I finally found these adhesive ones and they work perfectly for our needs! I gave up looking around and was so happy when I came across these at Target! Easy to follow instructions, durable, keeps baby out but easy for adults to do. Would recommend if you don’t want to drill holes in furniture for a temporary system

They break so easily. I’ve replaced 4 times and it keeps breaking. No one is pushing it hard it’s just cheap plastic.

These locks have been doing their job for over a year now and holding up very well to our toddler’s shenanigans. Highly recommend. Very easy installation.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have an 18 month toddler whose current favorite pass time is getting into all of our cabinets and drawers. We are currently living with my in-laws and they wanted to have babyproofing locks that were semipermanent and hidden. These are the perfect locks for our situation but unfortunately, they did not work with any of my in-laws cabinets. As you can see from the photo, there is a short groove on the cabinet door and the frame of the actual cabinets have a 3/4 inch rail. This makes it so that the door is unable to close all the way with these adhesive locks. The instructions were easy to follow, but unfortunately, they do not work with our current cabinets. I will say that they are an excellent product and the adhesives are very strong and sticky. We will save them for our future house as they are exactly what my wife was looking for originally. We are disappointed they didn't work with our in-law's cabinets, but would recommend them to others and look forward to using them in our future kitchen. Not only does the adhesive seem a lot stronger, but the latch is more secure than any others we have tried, while still being easy for adults. These were easy to install on our vanity cabinets (no drilling/holes!) and maintain our aesthetic thanks to the hidden design. It’s in the bottom cupboard of a standalone bathroom tower, so it’s been hard to find a secure way to keep it locked. I received these locks as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel and was excited to give them a try. Sadly, I tried and failed multiple times to install this lock. The directions were confusing and there was no clear explanation of how they actually work. I asked my husband to take a look, and after a few minutes of trying to decipher the instructions, he also grew frustrated and gave up. I’m sure these locks will work for someone with a bit more patience, but we abandoned this project for now.

Overall, the installation seemed a bit daunting- but in reality the locks were very easy to apply. Unfortunately the functionality of these particular locks do not work on the type of cabinet I most needed them for. That said, I love how invisible the locks are- as someone who values the aesthetics in my home. These are definitely a great choice if keeping your home looking sleek and clean is a priority to you as there are likely other more convenient or easier locks systems out there that just don't look as nice. It's also a great perk that these locks can be used either with cabinets or drawers! I look forward to trying them in other areas of my home.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a mom of 6, I have baby proofed my home a number of times. My current youngest is 10 months and quite mobile so we're back to this stage again. When I saw these Secure-to-Explore adhesive locks from Safety 1st I knew I needed them, especially because they looked super easy to install. I love that they come already put together so you don't have to worry about aligning the ledge with the lock (I hope that makes sense). I think for normal cabinets it would minimize the measurement process which is great. Unfortunately, my cabinets are framed a bit on the doors, so the way it is set up doesn't quite work. It leads to the latch portion of the lock hanging half over the top of the frame, thus preventing my cabinet door from closing. I've used lots of other saftey latches with no issues, so I think it's just that these don't quite work with my cabinets. However, I did use these with my bathroom drawers (no frames here!) and they worked flawlessly. It was easy to set them up and make them stick. If I ever need to unstick them a blow dryer will loosen the adhesive and ita a simple removal. All in all, while these didn't work where I wanted to use them, they did work elsewhere. If you have framed doors, these are not the ones for you. If you have normal doors or drawers these are easy easy! You just need to pell off the stickers or you can also drill them. I put mine in the kitchen cabinet as my baby was always trying to open it, now problem solved. I really like them, you don’t see them at all. Unless child is trying to open it but overall it is pretty good! 100% recommend it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The idea of adhesive locks to get little ones out of drawers and cabinets works great for people who are renting and do not want to perforate any surfaces. The instructions do say to leave it for 24 hours before using so that the adhesive qualities are at their best when one starts using them. They work for both framed and frameless cabinets. In our case, we had a frameless cabinet. The way the panel attaches to the vertical interior of the cabinet makes the second panel that is horizontal, jut out just a tad. So it wasn’t completely flush for us, making the cabinet door stick out ever so slightly. It is not noticeable at all but the adhesive area also sticks out and I have worried what it will look like after a few months with dust. I’ve attached a photo of the interior to show this and one of how much one door sticks out versus one that doesn’t (because the other door did not yet have the adhesive lock). To unlock, one has to slightly open the door, then press down on the bar for it to get clearance from the lock and voila. So far our little one has not been keen on opening cabinets or drawers but we’re hoping when he realizes he can’t open them anyway, that he’ll lose interest. So far, so good! The directions were clear on the installation process. Just a word of warning to future installers- my husband was a little too quick and didn’t consider the spacing of the cabinet handle screws and had to reinstall one of them (that was user error) but hoping to make things easier for the next person. We recently remodeled our kitchen and I worried baby proofing would cause permanent damage, but no screws needed here!
