Returned - Not worth price point!
I should have read the other reviews! Extremely minimal suction. Challenged in picking up dust bunnies, will not grab anything of size. For daily use / maintenance only. No steering and clunky dispenser with lower quality plastic than other Shark products. Shark products are great, just not this one!

I have hardwood and carpeted stairs

Terrible vacuum. Do not recommend.
The worst vacuum I’ve ever bought and I love vacuums. I have 3 cats and vacuum all of the time. Cat hat gets clogged, dry liter thrown everywhere. This thing can’t pick up cat hair . It won’t even pick up dry cereal that my baby threw on the floor. Everything gets stuck in the tubes. My 80$ off brand knocks this thing out of the water. Wish I could get my money back .

I bought the Shark Freestyle Max Cordless to replace my Bissell cordless vacuum. Why in the world did I ever think a Bissell would be better than a Shark?? My corded vacuums are both Shark--should have trusted Shark to begin with for a cordless vac!

Do not purchase it
Terrible terrible vacuum. It doesn’t pick up stuff off the floor, it works better in carpet but it’s terrible on the bare floor. Any hair, pet or human, just gets drag around the house and when you pick the vacuum up you find all the hair right under it. You have to put the vacuum on top of the dirt and debris to pick it up, otherwise it will just push it around. I’m definitely returning this product asap.

I will surely buy one more to keep it upstairs. Is so easy to use and very reliable. Even my 7yr old can use it, and ofcoarse it so easy for her to do her chore. And my teenager have no excuse now to do cleaning in the house especially her room.
