Q: Does the lid have a rubber gasket? I have an earlier Sterlite stackable "gasket box" which has a blue instead of a black latch. It creates a tigher air seal.

I love these!

I love these bins. I’ve been using them for the past 4 years in and out of different dorms rooms for college and they do not break at all and they’ve held up. They are also easy to store while I’m not using because I can stack them inside of each other when I take the lids off.

Air tight, strong latch lid lock, strong and stackable. latches are weakest point.

I have the blue latch version. Lid, bin clear plastic very strong. Blue gasket on lid holds up over five years. Out of 10, one bin has a blue latch break, but that bin has six latches so five are still functional. Creates air tight seal. I have 10 80qt, 22 37qt, 14 32qt. Transportation integrityis the real reason to buy and use them. Lid with six latchers more likely to stay on when a bin is accidentally drop than a lid with only two latches. I use them to transport exhibition kits.
