Q: How long are the wet mops compared to the mop it goes on. I want to make sure the wet ones fit entirely over the head.

A: If you're ordering Swiffer Wet Refills for a Swiffer Sweeper head, I think you can count on them fitting the entire head. I buy store brand (but not Target's) or any off brand, and they've all fit entirely over my Swiffer Sweeper head. I figure, why pay more if you don't have to?

A: All of our Wet cloths are safe for use on finished hardwood and bamboo floors, though our Wood Wet cloths are specially designed for wood floors. They feature slightly less solution per cloth to reduce the amount of solution left on the floor, and don't have a scrubby strip in order to ensure a gentle clean.

I have used the product for years. Sam's now is only offering the Heavy Duty pads.....they DON'T STAY ON THE WAND! Just a swipe or 2 and they pull off and stick to the floor! Clean well, but can't use them as I spend most of my time hooking them back up to the mop head! Don't fix what isn't broken!

These work really well on my dark wood floors. No steaks left, and no sticky residue at all. The scent is noticeable without being overpowering. That being said, it took 3 of them to do my kitchen and dining area that isn’t even that big. They are probably better suited for bathrooms or smaller rooms. Anything bigger than 10’x10’, you will probably need more than one pad. I will probably look into alternative products that are more practical for my needs in the future.

I first tried these during a construction project. They were useful, but the scent is overpowering, even just opening the container releases too much. I kept the package in a large ziplock bag, sitting in the entryway or even the garage until the scent diminished. Ditto the used pad, it had to be taken out to the garage trash bin as soon as I finished using it. I do not keep them on hand and buy them very seldom. If not for the scent, and the environmental impact ( if they could be biodegradable!), they would be a cleaning asset. For dust mopping in a hurry I sometimes use an ordinary paper towel, attach to the swifter duster and throw it away knowing it will ( eventually) decompose.

The pads just drag the dirt around my tile floor but don't pick up anything. When I'm done, the pad is clean and the floor is still dirty. I have to use a dry paper towel to pick up the wet lint that the pad smeared around.

I have been using these for ages and really like it. It does the job, smells fresh and easy to use. However, my last 2 purchases were disappointing as 10 refills on 24 were defective with only one side of the pad opening to fix on my Swiffer Sweeper mop. I ended up “ductaping” them so I could use them. This is the only reason why I gave 3 stars - otherwise I would have given 5 stars+

We are sorry you didn't get the expected results, JP. Our products undergo many quality checks to ensure they get to you with the best results, so we don't expect these things to happen. Some floor surfaces may create more pressure on the cloth when mopping, causing it to release from the grippers. If this happens, try turning the cloth over and use the plain white side to clean your floor to get the improved performance of our Heavy Duty Wet cloths. Here are a few other helpful tips: * Make sure the green strip is around the edge of the mop, not on the floor, while mopping. This should ensure there is enough material to tuck into the grippers. * For best results, use both hands while mopping. One hand should be placed on the top of the mop, and the other should be about halfway down. This allows you to put more downward pressure on the mop head to help keep it flat during use.
