The Bananas Gel gave me everything I’ve been looking for—definition, volume, and shine! What really impressed me is how it held up. I got way more days out of my wash n’ go than usual, it lasted almost 10 days and still looked good. And the best part? It’s a one-product styler. No layering needed. This gel seriously changed the game for me!

I bought this gel on a whim a month ago. I’m so glad I did. This gel is what I was missing from my hair care routine. Once I set my hair, I don’t want a strand to move out of place afterwards. No matter what or how long, I want my hair to look the same as I last set it. Bananas makes that an easy reality for me. It glides so smoothly in my type 4 hair. It really does smell like bananas which is pleasant for me. Storing the bottle upside down like I saw on TikTok is a tip I’m super grateful for though. While I believe looser gels work well with pumps, this gel would take forever to come out of a pump. I haven’t experienced any flaking with this gel, a huuuuuge plus for this level of hold. I’m very happy with this gel.

They weren’t lying when they said extreme hold! I tried this gel with a braid style I did and my braids stayed neat for a while! It left them hard so I don’t think I would use it for my wash n go’s because I personally like mine to get big and voluminous. I’m definitely going to try it on my slick back bun next!

When I workout, I tend to sweat heavily in my hair, so I need something that will give me longevity and Bananas came through for me. I was able to get 5 days out of my wash and go with this product. It also provided lots of shine. My only complaint is if you want fullness, which I prefer, you won’t get that from bananas. Overall, I’ll keep it in my arsenal for sure!

My curls definitely loved Bananas I got a solid 10 days that’s almost 2 weeks!!! I would say due to the consistency the bottle makes it hard to get the product out. Besides that I adore this gel!

I was a little nervous to try this product because normally when something says Xtreme hold it makes my hair curl up and doesn't hold my hair down. With my low porosity transitioning hair, it LAID MY HAIR DOWN. I am so in love with this product, my new favorite gel, can't wait to try it for a braid out.

Used the Xtreme gel for a slick ponytail. I am so in love with the product. I love the slip and the smell. I will be trying it for my next braid out. I know it will work well with my transitioning hair.

Based on my experience with this product, I found that its strong hold properties tended to dry out my hair, necessitating weekly deep conditioning treatments. Therefore, I recommend using a cream-based product in conjunction with this one to maintain adequate moisture levels.

I bought this product about a month ago & I’m so happy I did!! I did a wash&go using this & I swear my hair lasted a whole week. I prefer a medium hold but once I scrunched the cast out, I was able to get my hair to look exactly how I wanted it to.

Banana Extreme Hold Hair Gel does exactly what it promises to do. It provides an extreme hold for weeks without flaking or hardening your curls. I’m genuinely impressed with this product and highly recommend it to my friends and family.

After trying the Pop Lock (5-day) curl forming glaze I decided to Go Bananas! I wanted to know if I could also reach a 7 day stretch with my wash n go as I did with Pop Lock. I was pleasantly surprised and impressed because I reached and surpassed 7 days. I usually don't refresh because after 3 to 4 days with other brands I have to wash due to buildup and weight of product. But I was able to get to day 8 with my first try paired with Mousse Def and day 10 with the next one with Chief Rocka. I allow my gel cast to soften on its own and although my hair was soft on the last day each time, my curls remained defined and the hold is firm but not crunchy. I have osteoarthritis in both of my hands so I give it an overall 4 stars due to my inability to squeeze the bottle at all, I even tried storing it upside-down as suggested after failing to squeeze it with both hands.
