When this product hit the market I was obsessed with the formula and scent. I purchased 4x 100 fl oz that lasted me a few months. The product performed well and the sent, omg the scent was to die for. About a couple of months ago I took a trip to my local Target and picked up 4 more. This time the products seemed to have some cloudiness but I assumed it was because of the cold weather here in NYC. On wash day I opened 1 detergent bottle and did not get the whiff of that amazing scent I had become accustomed to. I open a second to compare (maybe the first one was a bad batch, I thought) and there was that awful scent again. I open the remaining two bottles and once again, they smelled different. Disappointed I grabbed all 4 detergent bottles and return them back to the store. Today I contacted Tide and they confirmed that they did indeed made changes to the fragrance for a "Longer Lasting Freshness". It saddens me to say, I will not recommend nor repurchase this product.
I initially purchased this detergent because I was wanting something more natural, and also would remove sweat odors. I had been using Arm & Hammer detergent for a while but noticed with my workout clothes the armpit areas in the tops still had a sweaty smell after washing (gross, I know). After washing the tops with the Tide Purclean the armpit odors were hardly noticeable, if not completely gone. The scent is a little sweet IMO but if it gets rid of sweat odors I can definitely live with it. I only wish Tide would fill the jugs completely, I notice whenever I purchase one they're only filled about 3/4 of the way, which I find a bit wasteful. Otherwise I will continue to repurchase
