A: This product bleached a brand new item of my clothing. I have photos to prove it, and there are no other bleach containing products in my home. I laid laid the item of clothing out to dry after washing and upon further inspection found detergent powder residue still on the garment. When I rinsed it off, the bleach stains remained- all the way through both sides of the thick fabric. Do not use this product if you don't want your clothing bleached!

It must upsetting that the powder left residue on your clothing. Residue can appear on clothes or the machine due to various factors. To prevent it, use the correct amount of detergent for your load size and soil level, avoid overloading especially in HE machines, and follow recommended fill levels based on the fabric and cycle type. Use the proper water temperature according to care labels and check that your machine’s dispenser is flushing detergent properly without blockages. To remove residue from fabric, rinse affected areas under warm water, then rewash without detergent at the highest safe temperature. If residue remains, soak overnight. For residue in the detergent dispenser, remove and clean it thoroughly with hot soapy water, soaking if needed, and ensure water jets are clean before reinstalling. Now, the instructions on how to use it are located on the box, but they go as simple as adding the detergent first, and then add the clothes.
